Nine riders have spent this year working with Factor engineers, riding, racing and refining what a gravel race bike can be. Seven have won. 13 victories between them.
Romain Bardet was one of them, helping us refine the answer to a question our racers asked of us.

Final weekend on the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift promises plenty of fireworks. Stage 8 ended in Nice after a modest 1400 meters climbing. But that hardly illustrates how much drama played out on the road. The hot sun of Provence couldn’t keep the fans away and the electric atmosphere could be felt all through the peloton. Human Powered Health’s Thalita De Jong won the sprint for 13th place while Ma Petite Entreprise’s Clémence Latimier and Célia Le Mouël came in together just a few seconds later, showing Factor’s two teams are ready to fight till the last meter of Sunday’s last brutal stage around Nice.

The race of truth. A race against the clock. When it’s just you, your bike, and your thoughts. When the only thing you can do is push your hardest and trust in the process that got you this far.

Tuesday’s stage into Dijon saw Ma Petite Entreprise’s Célia Le Mouël take a strong top-20 while Carlotta Cipressi from Human Powered Health finished just a few places behind. Both were well ahead of much bigger-named riders, showing grit, determination, and an ability to deal with the difficult course and even more difficult weather conditions. The heat is draining, but the opportunity is invigorating. And the effort inspiring.

With the heat and humidity, the Swiss start of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift has been as challenging as it has been beautiful. For the second stage starting in Aigle and finishing in Geneva, Ma Petite Entreprise’s Océane Mahé had the excitement of racing in the polka dot jersey as the Queen of the Mountains, which she will be able to wear into Monday’s stage since she earned enough points in stage 1 to hold off any attacks.

Human Powered Health’s Carlotta Cipressi had an impressive stint in the day’s main breakaway, but since the stage was one of the Tour’s flattest (though still gaining over 1600 meters in just 147 km), the sprint finish was inevitable.

Monday’s stage 3 from Geneva to Poligny takes the riders into France over the race’s first category 1 climb that starts basically from the drop of the flag. It’ll be a big challenge for Océane to defend her jersey, but we know she has the spirit and the talent, so hopes are high.
