That Inner Knowing of the body •

I don’t know if this has happened to you too, but it has to me.

Sometimes we feel like we’ve done everything possible to heal—we’ve been to therapy, read books, explored our wounds, understood our patterns… and yet, something inside us remains stuck.

That persistent “but” appears, refusing to let us be at peace:
• But why do I still feel trapped?
• But why, even though I understand it all, do the same situations keep repeating?

The truth is, trauma doesn’t just live in the mind. It lives in the body.

As Bessel van der Kolk explains in “The Body Keeps the Score,” our body holds the memory of everything we’ve experienced—not just in our recollections, but in our muscle tension, unexplained pains, automatic gestures, the way we breathe, and how we move through the world.

And until we give a voice to the body, some wounds remain trapped beneath the skin.

That’s why integrating the wisdom of the body into the healing process is so powerful:

🦋 Through somatic movement, we release what the body has been holding on to, accessing that deep muscular and cellular wisdom.

🦋 Through breathwork, we create space for new experiences of safety and connection.

🦋 Through ritual, we give a symbolic language to our gestures and actions.

🦋 Through Earth Medicine, we reach the transpersonal, giving shape and meaning to our inner experience on a different level.

Healing is not just about understanding—it’s about feeling, about carrying that reparative memory within the body, allowing new neural connections to emerge.

Llevo un año y medio desde el parto, y casi dos años y medio de cuando mi cuerpo y yo misma hemos empezado a cambiar.
Cambiar implica que ya no se puede volver atrás. Si, porque no me gusta esta idea de que de la mujer se espera que en tiempo récord vuelva “como antes”, y me refiero también a su cuerpo, pero no solamente. Sabes que? No hay un como antes!! Es una ilusión. El parto te cambia para siempre, y tu cuerpo será cambiado para siempre y eso también conserva belleza!

Finalmente después de este viaje salvaje, me siento de nuevo en mi cuerpo, me reconozco, estoy ganando fuerza pero mi relación con él y el movimiento ha cambiado. No lo vivo más como una meta sino que conecto a través del placer y lo que mi cuerpo necesita en el momento. Noto que está respondiendo con alivio a esta nueva visión y se está volviendo a abrir al juego y al placer.

Mi cuerpo ahora está deseando que le entregue tiempo y placer. Y se lo debo. Es mi mejor aliado y mi canal para el universo!

I’ve been a year and a half since giving birth, and almost two and a half years since my body and I began to change.
Change means there’s no going back. Yes, because I don’t like the idea that society expects women to quickly return to how they were “before,” and I’m not just talking about their bodies, but in every way. You know what? There is no “before”! It’s an illusion. Childbirth changes you forever, and your body will be changed forever, and that can be also beautiful!

Finally, after this wild journey, I feel at home in my body again, I recognize myself, I'm gaining strength, but my relationship with my body and movement has changed. I no longer approach it as a goal but rather connect through pleasure and what my body needs in the moment. I notice that it’s responding with relief to this new outlook, and it's opening up again to play and pleasure.
To reconnect with it, I dedicate time to:

🦋 African dance
🦋 Sometimes, I return to high-intensity workouts

My body now desires that I give it time and pleasure. And I owe it that. It is my greatest ally and my channel to the universe!

“I cried that anger and pain that were stored in that point in my back” •

Often those who come to me do not come with a concrete idea of ​​what they need. They come often loaded with emotions that are difficult to deal with, or pain, or longing for a change but not knowing where to go.
All they know is that what they have simply cannot be adjusted, it cannot be fixed with an aspirin.
They know there is more behind them but they don’t know how to access it.

They may also come with a lot of stress or chronic pain, looking for other ways to deal with them.

One of my clients came in with severe back pain. It was shortly after the acute phase.
She had had several conflicts that same week in his private sphere.

With the somatic healing session we were able to access the place where the memory of that conflict was being kept and little by little go deeper.

She managed to have an emotional release. She cried the rage and pain of that conflict that she had not yet been able to face, thanks to the subtle messages from her body that we were deciphering.
A soft, light and at the same time powerful process.

“Your hands are like the sound of the drum,” she told me. I loved it ✨
One day after the first session, she already felt much better.

Somatic healing is a beautiful process, where we come into contact with what happens inside us, through movement, breathing and more techniques, to rebalance the integral experience of the Self (body-mind-spirit).

Somatic healing is working with the felt sense, and sensations held in the body. Somatic Healing begins to thaw the long contracted places held within.

Through conscious movement, breathing, and emotional work, the body is freed little by little, leaving more space and place to live, bodily inhabiting the human experience.

How does an emotion stay in your body? •

You argue with your partner, or you have a hard time having to deal with your boss every day.
Or maybe you are living in a toxic environment.
It’s hard, sometimes,
You experience a moment or many of stress, sadness, or fear. Instead of processing and releasing it, your body holds onto that emotion, storing it in your muscles and tissues. Over time, these accumulated emotions manifest as tension, tightness, and discomfort. Slowly out of anxiety or sadness life starts to lose colours. Or you just have too much chronic pain.
Or you might feel the urge to start taking care of yourself.
Does that feel like you?

But why does this happen? It’s like your body’s way of preserving memories – both good and bad. Your muscles become a vault for unresolved emotions, creating a physical roadmap of your experiences.

So, what can you do about it?
One of my favorite ways is Somatic exercise and a good Breathwork program.
Through intentional movement and mindfulness, we unravel these emotional knots, allowing your body to let go and find relief. It’s about honoring the connection between your emotions and physical sensations, and reclaiming your body’s natural state of balance and ease. 🌿✨
