Introducing Infant Self Rescue Swimming techniques (ISR).

Thank you for your interest in our swimming lessons. My name is Blaise and I run Little Gem Swimmers; a swimming school which amongst other techniques, specialises in teaching INFANT SELF RESCUE (ISR).

I am the only swimming teacher in Andalusia with this qualification and I am passionate about teaching babies and infants the essential skills needed to be safe around water.

Infant Self Rescue swimming techniques give your child the competence, confidence and skills of water safety and is the safest survival swimming lessons for children from six months to six years of age.

Why this young? Because the SOONER THE SAFER.

The lessons focus on teaching the child to roll onto their back, to float, rest and breathe and to be able to maintain this life saving position until help arrives. This is the most important component to ISR swimming lessons: teaching a child to find their float from every position possible, equipping them with the lifelong skill to self-rescue.

What we do is not traditional swim lessons. We use behavioural sciences: sensorimotor learning, schedules of reinforcement, positive reinforcement, operant conditioning, and one-on-one student led lessons for your child. This truly is what sets us apart from other swim lessons. WE TEACH HOW YOUR CHILD LEARNS and each lesson is tailored to your child's ability and skill level every day.
