Hello there!

Here is the video of a talk that I gave with WoA on the last Guru Purnima, on July, 5th 2020.
I explain how Ashtanga yoga is an internal practice, and I share some personal stories so that you get to know me and where I am coming from a little better ;)
I hope that you get something out of it!

Check out the amazing ladies at WoA and the great work they are doing! They are more get-togethers lined up and YOU.DON'T.WANT.TO.MISS.OUT! And if you are interested in studying at the school with us, drop us line ;)

🇺🇸 A few nights ago, I came across a video titled “Life is not a journey”, by the late British philosopher Alan Watts, in which he explains how life is not about going from point A to point B, but more like a dance: playful, fresh and without a clear purpose.

What?? 🙃

Well. Continue reading on link in BIO 🍀❤️

🇪🇸 La otra noche, encontré un vídeo del filósofo británico Alan Watts titulado Life is not a journey.

🇬🇧 The false perception that we are separate beings who stand apart and have little in common with one another is at the root of our pain.

When we fixate on our needs and wants, we are building walls and cannot connect. But we can tear down those walls.

Good to have in mind when violence and hatred threaten love, unity, and respect.

“There is often someone running away from a beautiful love connection, but it is seldom the brave one. The brave one is usually the one left behind. It seems counter-intuitive to romantics and to those who feel ready to partner up when someone walks away. But some people can only handle a half-love because a whole love shines a light on their dark places. Real intimacy requires real presence. If someone isn’t ready to be truly here on an individual level, they will find it very difficult to manage all the triggers that come up in connection.
Only a small few can hold the gate open when profound love enters. A blessed and courageous few.”

It seems that lockdown is bringing about substantial change, as it has forced us to review the pillars that sustain our lives 🧐
Some of the students that I have seen this past week explain how confinement is leading them to review their values and beliefs. Then, the hard work of what we do with what we see comes next.

Hello there :)

Here is a video that demonstrates Marychasana A, from the Primary Series of Ashtanga yoga with basic instruction. I hope you find it useful!

I am practicing in my mom's living room during the coronavirus confinement. The furniture on the left-hand side was designed by my dad. He is on the picture next to my mat.

In practice, I advocate for balancing discipline and curiosity and for acting with purpose, so that we may engage our energy and resources wisely.

If you like what we do, we have more content coming up.
Stay tuned! Meanwhile, feel free to get in touch with us.

Take care!

In today's story, we discuss how yoga is a subjective experience, shaped by the circumstances, capacities, and reality of the practitioner, and how teaching yoga stems from this personal experience, that is passed on to the student.
Thus, a long term connection with a teacher is beneficial, because it is in the long run how the teaching can prove itself pertinent and can be refined in the regular, careful, and honest exchange between teacher and student.
Any thoughts, let me know :)

🍀May will be a month of transition that will see us going back to the school! Our new class schedule is ready too. If you wish to practice with us, reach out, and we will send you for more information :)

🇪🇸
