This morning, Co-founder of Hexagon Cup, had the opportunity to take part in the Sports Convention panel discussion on “New Competition Formats: Regulatory, Economic and Structural Challenges.”

It was a real pleasure to share the conversation with leading figures from across the sports industry, including Jorge Garbajosa (FIBA), Hector Arguelles (NBA), Javier Tebas (La Liga), Rafael De los Santos (NBA), Luis García Abad (F1), and many other outstanding professionals, with the session expertly moderated by Jennifer Pareja.

The discussion explored how sports competitions are evolving and the challenges involved in building new global sports properties in today’s landscape. We exchanged perspectives on value proposition, the intersection of sport and entertainment, collaboration across institutions, managing resistance to change, attracting new audiences, athlete care, the sustainable development of sport, and the importance of inclusion within the industry.

It was especially valuable to share the vision we are building at Hexagon World Series through the GENERALI Hexagon Cup, alongside insights from organizations such as FIBA and the NBA.
