We honestly don’t think we could be any prouder of this group of players who represented us on the Madrid 26 trip with Soccer 4 Success. 🇪🇸⚽💙

From the very first meeting point in the early hours of the morning, their attitude was absolutely first class. Organised, respectful, excited and ready to embrace everything the trip had to offer — they set the standard immediately. Even when faced with the horrendous and exhausting delay at Madrid airport, not once did they lose their composure. They stuck together, kept positive, supported each other and showed maturity beyond their years. That moment alone spoke volumes about their character.

Throughout the entire stay, their behaviour in the hotel and at meal times was exceptional. Polite, appreciative and respectful at all times, they represented our club, their families and themselves in the best possible way. Staff regularly commented on how well-mannered and professional they were — something that makes us incredibly proud as coaches.

On the pitch, they were outstanding. Every single game was played with heart, courage and pride. They competed, they fought for each other, and they never stopped working. Regardless of the scoreline, they made every match a positive experience. Their energy, togetherness and desire to improve made their games must-watch for staff — people genuinely wanted to come and watch them play because of the way they approached it.

Our session at Atlético de Madrid was another huge highlight. The coaches there were full of praise for the group — highlighting their focus, intensity, attitude and willingness to learn. To receive that recognition in such an elite environment speaks volumes about the standards these players are setting.

This trip was about more than football though. It was about resilience. It was about independence. It was about teamwork, pride and growth. And every single player embraced it fully.

They have been an absolute credit to themselves and we are beyond proud to call them our players. 💙🔥

Day 4 Round up:

A jam packed day for the lads today started with training at Alcobendas with the lads taking part in a lighter activation session prior to the evening of matches

After training the lads then went to the local Padel centre where they were introduced to the sport and played tournaments across the age groups

The day was then concluded with the final match day of the tour with the younger ones facing Sek Ciudalcampo, the 15s facing La Cabrera and the 16s against Chamartín Vergara

U16s - A battling performance against a very physical opponent however their quality proved too dominant in the end winning 3-2 with goals from Ben x2 and Natans.

U15s - A very poor first half left the boys with a mountain to climb in the second half. And boy did they deliver, goals from Lucas x2, Fin and Ronnie brought the game level in dramatic fashion. An entertaining game of football played in one of the nicest grounds you’ll see

U14s - the 100% winning record was maintained for the younger ones in scintillating style playing some fantastic football. Goals from Freddie, Leo x2, Tiago, Joe and Oskar have the team a comfortable 6-3 win

An outstanding day with some brilliant performances and experiences for the lads to take away!

Day 3 Roundup:
Another unbelievable day in Madrid with the sun shining throughout☀️.

The day started for the lads with a trip to the Athletico Madrid training ground for their session with the Athletico coaching team. Sessions were intense and focused on possession and working as a team with and without the ball. The lads were credited on how hard they worked and it was an amazing experience at such a high quality and modern facility

The day then finished with Match day 2 where the 16s played local side Alcobendas whilst the 15s and 14s played Juventud Sanse.

U16s - A closely fought game which could’ve gone either way ending up 2-2 with Goals from Ben x2

U15s - A tough evening for the 15s against an extremely talented and organised Juventud side which finished 5-0 to the hosts. A good experience for the lads who battled and played some decent stuff in patches

U14s - Result of the day came from the u14s who took a 3-1 win in a battling display where goals from Tiago x2 and Freddie gave them a deserved win

Overall, another amazing day where all the lads have been superb yet again!
