🥋 Cuarta jornada de la Liga de Aikido Randori Phil Newcombe 🇯🇵 Ayer, en el Pabellón de Ciudad Jardín (Málaga), vivimos una jornada especial. No solo por los grandes momentos de randori y aprendizaje, sino por la energía tan bonita que trajeron nuestros alumnos más jóvenes. Seis pequeños aikidokas que llenaron el tatami de ilusión, curiosidad y una alegría que contagió a todos. Entre enfrentamientos de liga y combates amistosos, compartimos risas, emoción y ese espíritu de compañerismo que hace grande a nuestra comunidad. Para muchos adultos fue un recordatorio precioso: enseñar también es aprender. Gracias a todos los que vinisteis a participar, apoyar o simplemente disfrutar del día. Y un agradecimiento especial a Juan Carlos Aguilar Sensei, cuyo espíritu y dedicación siguen impulsando cada jornada. Con esta cuarta jornada cerramos la fase regular… y ya están decididas las finales. 💥 En diciembre nos espera la gran final de la Liga Phil Newcombe. ◆ 嘉納治五郎師範と昭道館初代館長富木謙治師範について

本日10月28日は、講道館柔道の創始者である嘉納治五郎師範のご生誕日にあたります。
昭道館の初代館長である富木謙治師範は、合気道の開祖である植芝盛平翁と出会う前から柔道の稽古をされ、生涯を通じて柔道と合気道、二つの道の修行に尽力されました。富木師範は嘉納師範の教育理念に大きく影響を受け、植芝翁の素晴らしい技を、嘉納師範の理論に基づいて、より分かりやすく多くの人々に伝えることをご自身の生涯をかけた課題とされました。

以下は、昭道館が富木師範の合気道競技の中央道場として開設された際の、富木師範のご挨拶からの一部引用です。

「明治初年、嘉納治五郎先生（１８６０～１９３８）は、新時代の教育の立場から、古流柔術を近代化して講道館柔道を提唱しました。古流柔術の近代化とは、第一に、流派を超越して『わざ』と『格闘形体』とを科学的に分類整理して、『乱取』の練習体系を編成することです。第二に、教育理念のうえでも、古い儒・仏・神の思想について、哲学的倫理学的考察を加えて、現代の教育の道として明らかにすることです。このことによって、はじめて、古流武術に起こりやすい流派間の混乱を解消して、『和』の武道としての現代的意義をあらわすことができます。
古流柔術の『わざ』を分類すれば、多くの種類と格闘形体とに分けられますが、講道館柔道は、『投技』と『固技』とについて『組む』格闘形体の『乱取』練習法を編成しました。そして、その他の『わざ』と『格闘形体』については、『形』の練習法によらしめたのです。
さて、昭道館合気道は、講道館柔道の教育法に習いまして、『当身技』と『関節技』とについて『離れ』た格闘形体の『乱取』練習法を編成しました。そして、この『乱取』練習法に盛り込むことのできない『わざ』と『格闘形体』とについては、『形』の練習もだいじにする教育方針を立てたのであります。」

上記のご挨拶文をお読みいただければ、嘉納師範の教育理念と講道館柔道の体系が、富木師範の武道観と教育法にどれほど深く影響を与えていたかが、よくおわかりいただけると思います。

続きまして、本年は昭道館初代館長である富木謙治師範のご生誕125周年という特別な年です。この記念すべき節目を祝し、成山哲郎師範が本年春に特別記念文を執筆してくださいました。
富木師範の柔道における功績を称える内容とかかわりますので、改めてこの文章をご紹介いたします。

◆ Regarding the influence of Kano Jigoro shihan on Shodokan Aikido

Today, 28th October, marks the birthday of Kano Jigoro shihan, the founder of Kodokan Judo.
Tomiki Kenji shihan, the first director of Shodokan, practiced Judo prior to his meeting with Ueshiba Morihei, the founder of Aikido, and continued to study both Judo and Aikido throughout his life. Tomiki shihan was deeply influenced by Kano shihan's educational philosophy, and he made it his life's mission to set up a system to teach and spread the wonderful techniques of Ueshiba sensei to as many people as possible in an easy to understand way, using Kano shihan's teaching model and theories as the foundation to develop this system.

Below is an excerpt from a speech Tomiki shihan gave when Shodokan was established as the central dojo for his Competitive Aikido.

“In the early years of the Meiji period, Kano Jigoro sensei (1860~1938) proposed Kodokan Judo by modernizing classical jujutsu from the standpoint of modern education for the new era. Modernization of classical jujutsu means, firstly transcending individual schools or styles so as to rationally classify and organize techniques and forms of combat, and to establish a training system for randori. Secondly, he clarified the various religious thoughts of Confucianism, Buddhism and Shintoism that were prevalent in classical martial arts into a framework of ideas built on philosophy and ethics suitable for a modern form of education. By doing this he removed some of the confusion that could easily occur between the old classical jujutsu schools and was able to show the modern significance of a peaceful budo.
If the techniques of old style jujutsu are classified they can be separated into many different categories, however Kodokan Judo created a randori training system for nage waza (throwing techniques) and katame waza (locking techniques) within a grappling combat structure. Other techniques that do not fall into these categories are formed into kata practice.
Meanwhile, Shodokan Aikido, following the educational method of Kodokan Judo, has established a randori training system for atemi waza (striking techniques) and kansetsu waza (joint techniques) within a distanced combat structure. Techniques that cannot be included in this randori system are practised in kata and their importance is emphasized through this educational method."

These words by Tomiki shihan give an indication of how profoundly Kano shihan's educational philosophy and the structure of Kodokan Judo influenced Tomiki shihan's vision of martial arts and education.

This year is significant in that it is the 125th anniversary of the birth of Tomiki Kenji shihan.
To celebrate this, earlier this year Nariyama Tetsuro shihan wrote a special commemorative article. The content relates strongly to Tomiki shihan's experience of Kodokan Judo, so we would like to reintroduce this article again now.

◆ 相構え片手取り に対する 応用技  　 (講習会中のデモンストレーション） 　取り：西井英二先生 　受け：藤本和義先生 2025年6月、NPO法人昭道館合気道連盟の有段者講習会が本部道場で開催されました。  成山哲郎師範のご指導内容は、「後の先の崩し」の応用をテーマとし、上段・中段・下段の崩しを用いた技の稽古が行われました。 この動画は、その稽古中に成山師範のご指示で西井先生にお手本として示していただいた技の映像です。 ********************** ◆ Application Techniques from Aigamae Katatedori 　 (Impromptu Demonstration during a Seminar)  　Tori: Nishii Eiji sensei　Uke: Fujimoto Kazuyoshi sensei NPO Shodokan Aikido Federation held its annual Dan Grade only Training Session and Seminar in June 2025. The seminar, led by Nariyama Tetsuro shihan, focused on the theme of applying Go no Sen no Kuzushi (breaking balance after the opponent initiates an attack).  Participants practiced techniques using three levels of balance breaks: Jodan (upper), Chudan (middle), and Gedan (lower). This video features an impromptu demonstration during this seminar by Nishii sensei, who at the direction of Nariyama shihan performed some of the techniques that had been the focus of that day's practice.
