I’m not out here to be everyone’s cup of tea.

But I am out here to serve my burnt out, over touched, over worked mummas and I’m certainly here to help those women hustling to fight for their rightful spot in often very male dominated industries.

If I could give the power to women to honor themselves first before their families and partners so that they could show up as their best version for them. I bloody would. Wait that’s exactly what I’m preaching and teaching out here.

I’d also give them the skills to be able to navigate their weeks and schedules especially on the busy weeks or when nothing goes to plan.

I’d show them how simple nourishing your body can be. Once you know how to shop so simply, it just becomes second nature.

If I could shake out the need for fast fat loss and fad diets that have been forever engrained in us, I’d be shaking my maracas 🪇 so hard you’d think you’re at a Mexican resort. I would teach you how to map out your long term goals so you meat fat loss and build a life that works for you not against you.

If I could give you all the tools in your tool box to never have to start again on a Monday, or a new year. I would tell you, it’s so possible. Trust me!

And the next time you consider the w**e. I’d tell you have the damn w**e. Life is for living and that’s exactly what we need to be doing!!

LEAVE YOUR EGO AT THE DOOR AND TAKE FEEDBACK CONSTRUCTIVELY 🤌🏽

Even as a coach it can sometimes be hard to take that feedback. I’m thankfully one of those people that is often open to constructive feedback because I know it’s for the purpose of helping me perform better, move better, have a better outcome.

This often means dropping the ego and dropping the load to perfect the movement pattern. It can feel disheartening but there is nothing worse than getting better at s**t reps and build shocking foundations, because when you try to progress the structure will crumble.

Like most things in life, slow is fast. Build on all your skills one by one rather than aiming to do it all together. Once you feel competent then move forward. If your work needs refinement ask for the feedback and don’t be shut off to receiving it because it will only make you better.

The stiletto squat has been the bane of my programs the last few months. And honestly it’s not even there yet. Boy does it look so much better and move so much better than 5 months ago.

Give yourself time. And I don’t mean a few weeks I mean months to years. Your health journey should be a race but rather a marathon with breaks along the way.

Are you constantly stuck in the all or nothing loop?

Now is the time to STOP and take on these 4 principles to get you to finally seeing results.

1. Be realistic with your goals. Stop sitting in challenges expecting to see a years worth of results. Instead focus on > 12 months or more timeframes to see incredible changes to your habits, routine, lifestyle and physique. Let it transform everything!

2. Start small. Choose one of the big movers such as training or nutrition. Once you start to nail that, add the next. From there add your micros like steps, sleep, supps etc.

3. Prioritise consistency over perfection. It doesn’t matter you’ve had a perfect week if that’s all it will be. You want it to be every week showing up. When things feel hard you still show up. Not just on the good weeks.

4. Nail the basics. You can build a sturdy house without the foundations. The same goes with your health practices. You can’t jump into the most advanced movement patterns if you haven’t nailed the basics first. You certainly can’t take a weeks holiday and expect to maintain results if you haven’t taken the time to learn the founding principles. Start small, build up.

Change doesn’t have to be overwhelming but you do need to build the systems so that you can make them stick.

Tell me in the comments the hardest part for you? Where do you get stuck in all or nothing?

Family friendly and cost efficient dinner.
The bulk of this dish takes 15 mins from start to finish.
It’s perfect for after work and makes a great left over lunch.
Let’s do it ➡️

Start by browning the mince in olive oil. Add a nice pinch of salt.

Have your onion, garlic and veg chopped and ready. I really only use capsicum but it’s one of those dishes you can add any veg in. Especially those going yuck, chuck it in.

I add black beans for extra protein, fibre and it bulks the meal out without having to bulk it out with extra mince. This is what keeps the meal cost efficient but protein dense.

Spices are essential here. You can absolutely use taco/burrito mixes. I just find the chilli a bit hot for the kids so I add my own.
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp ground coriander
Salt to likingz

Let the veg have a few mins in the mince before adding the rest.

I add all my spices together.

Add 1/2 jar of passata or 1 tin of diced tomatoes.
1 packet of tomato paste.
1 cup water.

Let it simmer for at least 45 mins. I usually leave it for about 2-3 hours on very low and add more water as needed.

We serve ours with steamed rice, guacamole, sour cream & cheese. But you can make the bowl however you like.

Other great options;
Lettuce
Corn
Pickled onions
Cucumbers

Let me help you build the SYSTEMS you need to stop restarting every Monday.

I guarantee you’ve tried it all together before: new training program, learning to track your calories or understand a new meal plan, manage your sleep, your stress, your steps, your boundaries. It feels exciting in the beginning and then the end of week one rolls around. You’re exhausted and wondering how you’re going to do it all again the next week.

The system I like to use is choose one; training or nutrition. Then once you’ve got that going for 1-2 weeks add the other. Again do it for 1-2 weeks. Before you focus on your micros. By doing it this way you minimise overwhelm and you’re easily able to make adaptations as the new habit begins.

Comment below your struggle, I’ll help to trouble shoot with you!

Ticking off the weeks and showing up no matter how I’m feeling.

12 weeks to see out the end of the year. How will you reflect back?
