It makes me hopeful seeing this message across platforms. Maybe we can look at real intelligence as the new flex. The caveat here is not only focusing on accumulation of knowledge for the sake of consumption, but in true learning with mind and heart together. We humans are a very complex evolutionary experiment , or so I see us; our mythology and stories have carried out specie on perilous journeys that may not end well shall we stay on the same path of oblivion, individualism and indifference.

With heart always, Fio

A year ago I set myself to write my first novel, which I am editing now. I utilized a very eclectic and expansive method to put together the storylines; whether drawing, sketching, journaling and verbally narrating I can see how all these methods helped navigate a very confusing time. Ironically, it wasn’t painful because it felt like a relief really, but it was confusing because what I experienced left me unsure of myself to a point that I even doubted my professional path. I know this is something that happens to so many people who got lost and distracted by drama that doesn’t even belong to them, leaving them emotionally drained and unregulated. This is why I started writing Call Me Stupid… because sometimes fiction resembles reality so so much.
Follow me on .me_stupid_ for release. ⏹️ Forewarning: This is both your regular novel, it’s more a Latin telenovela 😎 and it’s written in Spanish with an English twist.

Hi friend:
A walk can be many things, pause, a reset, a quiet return to yourself. At the end of this month, I’m happy to do this walk masterfully organized by .hikingclub to Mirador de Chaparral, outside Madrid.
We will be a group of women intentionally stepping away from the noise and into the awe of nature. No pressure, no performance, just movement, fresh air, and the kind of conversations that unfold when we feel at ease in our own presence. If you’ve been craving a space to slow down, reconnect, and share a meaningful moment with others, you’re warmly invited to join us.

hikingclub has this amazing idea organizing all kinds of hikes for women, all ages, all abilities… and I am just so happy to embark on this adventure.

Yep, a brutal unraveling… but it doesn’t have to be lonely. I like to sit with the feeling that my calling is walking others home. Not in a leading way, but in a more grounded and subtle capacity. The person who witnesses, someone who stays when things becomes impossible; that person who is not judging anyone’s unraveling but rather celebrating if that’s what you feel doing.

Arriving here has meant to survive my own unraveling which looks pretty much not finished yet… i have decided to surrender to what my soul needs; befriending my ego to the point that I do enjoy teasing my wild its wild assertions 🙄

And I am just a human perhaps half, hopefully half to her destination. 😎

This is how I present myself to my coaching clients. I don’t talk about objectives, habits, goals and all that blur in our first conversation. Indeed that’s part of the journey, but not the journey itself.

How have you handling your unraveling? In good company?

I’ve lived through wonderful moments these last years; awe, joy, bitterness and betrayal… and surely many more. So, my heart at this point may resemble a graffiti wall with big and small mosaics of all these emotions.

As I frequently say, I try not to suppress them, but rather allow them run through me like a vivacious river stream. Steady in its impermanence and unpredictability…

Inevitably, this has informed my presence, the way in which I show up for my sessions, and in 1:1 coaching.

But, would you believe there was a time when I almost abandoned everything I love about supporting others. I mistakenly perceived those emotional experiences as something negative in my own personal life that I had to overcome in order to be of service for others.

Gaslighted to the point of doubting my journey, my skill set and my ability to hold compassion and accountability for others.

Then, I realized not even those negative voices were permanent. Reflecting seriously and sensibly helped me realize coaching others doesn’t demand me to be flawless. Instead, it asks me to be human. ❤️

Grief takes all directions, but it feels unmoved by time. Untouched by compassion, derailed by sympathy… among so many things.

Yet, some grief is also symbolic. It festers during holidays, celebrations and any occasions normalized as must-be-happy ones.

I have read grief is also love with no place to arrive, but to me that’s not all of it. Grief is also not having more time or love to offer. Plenty of destinations, yet an empty vessel.

Talk to your grief; invite it to have some tea. Ask questions, answer those silences. Grief is indeed written with the tiniest font in this contract called “living”, none is supposed to get a fair deal, or get it right.

And please don’t grieve alone…

Creativity is healing because it enables a shift in the nervous system: body dynamics, in breathing, in felt touch. Moreover, creativity speaks in more than words: color, movement, gesture, rhythm. It flows naturally through both the analytical and emotional centers because it is an innate human language. Highly empowered by curiosity, not to be performative, but authentic, becomes something magical when people create together. Not just artwork, it could be a vision, a business .
By virtue of allowing to let ourselves be seen, we become safer, seen, relieved, braver... and even though we may not turn is not less fragile, we feel less alone.

This is what I find truly marvelous in the way creativity brings great awareness and agency in the sessions I facilitate.

And it can bring so much more depending on where you are in your life. What does creativity give you the most right now: peace, expression, courage or connection?

Invitation to seeing each other this March 22, 2026

Single-parent families carry an immense strength: the strength to hold, to love, and to keep moving forward. But on top of all that, the world keeps spinning in a kind of whirlwind that often undermines our ability to be emotionally present, open, and empathetic...

That is why, on March 22, we want to invite you to a pause that is simple, brave, and deeply human ( an idea exquisitely created by .es

It is called... … Let’s Us See Each Other

This is a powerful and simple activity to truly reconnect with your loved ones.

**How do you do it?**

✅ Set a timer for 5 minutes
✅ Sit facing each other
✅ Simply look into each other’s eyes

No screens.
No fears.
No masks.
No words.

Just presence.
Just you.
Just this moment.

Sometimes nothing needs to be said to remember how much we love each other, how much we have lived through, and how much we mean to one another.

When you finish, if it feels right, take a photo and share this moment using the tag:

or
if you are not Spanish speaker

Sometimes what matters most is not saying more.
It is pausing and truly seeing one another. Participation is free and open to everyone ❤️

About this image:

- added the singing bowl, rocks and post its - that's actually what I have on my desk!
- My daughter doesn't like I use frivolously. ( I don't blame her)
- I love the wrinkles around my eyes; and it seems I do a great job at hydrating myself since ai went for not one, but two glasses of water.

Bottomline, although we humans are battlefield of contradictions, being deplorably racist, recalcitrant fascist and morbidly chauvinistic are not contradictions; these are calculated CHOICES resulting from a structural lack of consequences.
Therefore, even if I am smiling on this caricature, I'm still thinking about everything that have been revealed these days, wondering what kind of game people are playing; but more importantly, why so many stay silent. This sits heavily in my heart.

Other than that, May you be well and safe!
