Por unos instantes, el campo se transformó: nuevos tonos de luz, sombras difuminadas y una hierba que adquiría un precioso tono anaranjado bajo un cielo diferente. 🌿🧡

Although the eclipse on the Costa del Sol wasn’t total, it treated us to a unique experience at Santa María Golf. ⛳✨

For a few moments, the course was transformed: new hues of light, soft shadows and grass that took on a beautiful orange tint beneath a different sky. 🌿🧡

Un Par 4 de 372 metros y uno de los grandes retos de Santa María Golf. El hoyo exige precisión desde el tee y una buena estrategia para afrontar un green largo y escalonado, protegido por bunkers en el lado izquierdo. Un auténtico examen de juego en la recta final del recorrido. 🏌️‍♂️

🇬🇧 Hole 16th ⛳

A 413 yds par 4 and one of the greatest challenges at Santa María Golf. The hole demands precision off the tee and a sound strategy to tackle a long, terraced green, protected by bunkers on the left side. A real test of your game in the final stretch of the course. 🏌️‍♂️

🇪🇸 El equipo mixto interclubes de Santa María disputó el pasado viernes una jornada más en el club de golf La HaciendaLinks.

El capitán del equipo interclubes, Peter Madden, comentó:
«Los fuertes vientos y el exigente campo hicieron que fuera una jornada de golf muy desafiante. Todos dieron lo mejor de sí mismos, y nuestras dos parejas con mejor puntuación fueron:

Laila y Paul: 39 puntos
Ángeles y Skip: 38 puntos»

La clasificación final de la competición entre clubes quedó así:
La Cala: 154 puntos (ganó por recuento)
La Hacienda – 154 puntos
Miraflores – 151 puntos
Santa María – 144 puntos
El Paraíso – 139 puntos

La próxima jornada del torneo interclubes mixto tendrá lugar en el Club de Golf Santa María el viernes 7 de agosto, donde esperamos dar la bienvenida a los demás clubes participantes y aspirar a una buena actuación como anfitriones.

Interclubs Captain Peter Madden commented:
"The strong winds and the demanding course made for a very challenging day of golf. Everyone gave their best, and our two highest-scoring pairs were:

Laila & Paul – 39 points
Angeles & Skip – 38 points"

The final standings in the club competition were:
La Cala – 154 points (won on countback)
La Hacienda – 154 points
Miraflores – 151 points
Santa Maria – 144 points
El Paraíso – 139 points

The next Mixed Interclub fixture will take place at Santa Maria Golf Club on Friday, 7 August, where we look forward to welcoming the other participating clubs and aiming for a strong home performance.

Os mostramos la evolución de los trabajos de mejora en el green del hoyo 13. Al igual que el resto de los greens renovados, en los próximos días será sembrado con Agrostis, una variedad que nos permitirá seguir mejorando la calidad y jugabilidad del campo.

Here’s an update on the improvement work being carried out on the 13th hole green. Just like the other renovated greens, it will be seeded with Agrostis in the coming days – a variety that will enable us to continue improving the quality and playability of the course.

🇪🇸 El torneo «Mixed Interclub» se celebró el viernes en Miraflores, donde el equipo de Santa María Golf representó con orgullo a nuestro club. La competición cuenta con cinco equipos de cinco clubes diferentes y, tras esta ronda, Santa María se ha aupado a un impresionante segundo puesto en la clasificación. 🥈👏

🇬🇧 The Mixed Interclub took place at Miraflores on Friday, with the Santa Maria Golf team proudly representing our club. The competition features five teams from five different clubs, and following this round, Santa Maria has moved into an impressive second place in the league table.🥈👏

🇪🇸 La etiqueta en el golf: pequeñas normas, grandes diferencias. 💚

El golf no solo se juega con buenos golpes, también con respeto. Aquí tienes algunas reglas básicas de etiqueta que harán que la experiencia sea mejor para todos:

🤫 Silencio durante el swing.

⏱️ Mantén un buen ritmo de juego. Juega cuando sea tu turno y evita demoras innecesarias.

🌱 Repara los piques en el green. Un pequeño gesto que beneficia a todos los jugadores.

🏖️ Rastrilla los bunkers. Déjalos como te gustaría encontrarlos.

🍃 Repón los chuletas (divots) o utiliza la mezcla de arena y semillas cuando esté disponible.

🚶 Respeta el green. Evita pisar la línea de putt de otros jugadores y no apoyes la bolsa sobre la superficie.

🚗 Conduce el buggy con responsabilidad. Respeta las zonas restringidas y mantente alejado de tees y greens.

Disfruta del juego y respeta a los demás. Un buen comportamiento siempre suma. Porque el mejor golf no solo se mide por el hándicap… también por la actitud. 😉

🇬🇧 Golf etiquette: small rules, big differences. 💚

Golf isn’t just about good shots; it’s also about respect. Here are some basic rules of etiquette that will make the experience better for everyone:

🤫 Keep quiet whilst taking your swing.

⏱️ Maintain a good pace of play. Play when it’s your turn and avoid unnecessary delays.

🌱 Repair divots on the green. A small gesture that benefits all players.

🏖️ Rake the bunkers. Leave them as you’d like to find them.

🍃 Replace divots or use the sand and seed mix where available.

🚶 Respect the green. Avoid stepping on other players’ putting lines and do not rest your bag on the surface.

🚗 Drive the buggy responsibly. Respect restricted areas and stay clear of tees and greens.

Enjoy the game and respect others. Good behaviour always counts for something. Because the best golf isn’t just measured by your handicap… but also by your attitude. 😉
