On International Women’s Day we celebrate the incredible women who are helping shape the future of our industry.

Stringing and technical roles in sport have traditionally been male-dominated, but over the last two GRSA conferences it has been an absolute pleasure to meet more and more women entering the field — from experienced stringers and business owners to those just starting their journey.

Meeting the women who attended the conferences, hearing their stories, seeing their passion for the craft, and watching them share knowledge with the rest of the community has been an absolute pleasure. Some were experienced stringers, some were business owners, and some were just starting their journey — but all of them brought something valuable to the room.

The more diverse our industry becomes, the stronger it will be.

To all the women who joined us at the GRSA conferences over the last two years — thank you for being part of this growing community, for being such an essential part of making the little girl who grew up seeing her dad string realise that girls can do it too. I’m really looking forward to seeing even more of you in the future, whether in Malaga at the conference or in workshops around the world!
