Another warm Tuesday at Altaona, where the sun was blazing, the course was looking great, and golfers were busy proving that golf is definitely not a game of logic! 😎☀️

Congratulations to our winners:

🥇 David Hooper – 42 pts
🥈 Peter Lucas – 39 pts
🥉 Lynn Anderson – 36 pts

A special mention to Mike Hare, who claimed Nearest the Pin. Rumour has it Mike was the only one who realised the flag was the target! 🎯👏

Well played David on taking top spot with a superb 42 points. Peter pushed hard for second, while Lynn rounded off the podium with a solid performance.

The course may have been hot, but not as hot as some of the scoring… although a few scorecards are currently being investigated by the committee! 😂

Thanks to everyone who played and stayed behind for the presentations. Good golf, great company, plenty of laughs, and only a handful of golf balls sacrificed to the Altaona wildlife reserve. ⛳🍻

The Altaona Golf Society returned to action for this week’s Tuesday Stableford, with prizes presented by Captain Rob Wilson. Following the recent maintenance period, the course was in great shape—although the sunshine was working harder than some of the golfers! 🌅😅

🥈 Peter Lucas – 40 pts
🥉 Nicky Hunter – 38 pts
🏅 Ken Smith – 37 pts

And a special well done to Lynn Anderson, who also claimed today’s Nearest the Pin prize. Clearly Lynn had found the sat-nav setting for the hole! 👏🏌️‍♀️

Fantastic scoring all round, proving that while the temperature was high, some handicaps were definitely coming down! 😄
