TTS has been a game-changer for me! Back in 2019, I made the decision to ride The Desert Dash and entered with the aim of getting fit enough to enjoy it. Little did I know that the energy and passion at TTS would suck me in and push me higher than I ever planned to go!
Sport has always been a huge part of my life. Whether it's winning or losing, it levels and humbles everyone and introduces you to amazing people you might never have met otherwise. But what I love most about it is the community that keeps me coming back for more.
When I'm not out on the MTB trails with a big smile on my face, you can find me in the shack on the wattbike or doing wall balls. My favorite pre-race food: Toast with peanut butter, banana, honey & cinnamon – it never fails!
Remember to always shoot for the moon, even if you miss, you’ll land amongst the stars.

So I started this journey back in 2017, just after my daughter Luca was born. My weekends used to consist of being a couch potato, watching sports all Saturday, eating chips, biltong, etc and drinking beer.
I started cycling (with tekkies) in January 2017. It took a lot to motivate myself to get out of bed so early in the morning and begin exercising.
I weighed 125kg when I entered my first race, the Nedbank MTB Half Marathon. What a rude awakening. When I crossed the finish line the prize giving was already underway. I drove back to Swakopmund, determined to get fit and healthy. I joined the TTS Endurance Coaching Squad and started seeing improvements. I lost 15kg and by the end of the year I successfully completed my first 4-man Desert Dash.
Since then I have participated in a few races:
Several desert dashes (4 and 2man formats),
Double Century,
Otjihavera, and
Wines to whales.
I enjoy challenging myself and seeing improvements. Currently I'm focused on a 2 year plan.
Exercise of the week!
No equipment needed | Anytime | Anywhere.
