Flashback to when we hit the 100kms to go mark on the el Camino de Santiago.

That was such an amazing feeling. Knowing we were now on the double digits. That we were on the home stretch and only had a couple of days to go.

Memories 💗

GOAL COMPLETED!

Earlier in the year, I planned to hike 780kms across the top of Spain, starting in Saint Jean Pied de Port and finishing at Santiago.

This meant I would be hiking 20-40km per day depending on the terrain and facilities available at each tiny town I went through.

Not only that, but I would have to carry my backpack every single day. My particular back pack and contents was (on average) 12kgs. And it meant that I had to forgo simple luxuries in life.

The incredible experience called “El Camino de Santiago” took me 29 days to complete and allowed me the opportunity to learn more about myself, other people and increase my personal fitness. Some days were mentally tough but the overall experience is incredible and I look forward to completing one of the other versions of the hike in the future.

Below is a picture of myself and three incredible people I had the pleasure of hiking with and sharing the last week of my experience with. Thank you to them for being amazing and kindly allowing me to walk with them.

If you have any questions about the hike ask below :)

New goals!! For those who don’t know. I have left Bondi In Sydney to purse some personal goals. I am in training to complete the el Camino commencing in Saint Jean Pied de Port.

This trek will take me approximately 1 months to complete on foot.

Not going to lie... I’m pretty excited and have started my own training plan to physically and mentally prepare myself for this adventure.

I shall keep you posted.

It's amazing how the people in your team can effect you and the people you train.

Thank you Ange for being an amazing mentor to me on a personal and professional level.

You will be sorely missed by everyone due to your incredible aura.

Luckily we managed to hold back the tears so that we could actually train.

Here's to you and your future endeavours 🥂

All too often I see people saying they "can't lift that" or "I can't run that far" etc...

All because of the fear of failing, the fear of not doing it right the first time even fear from previous failures.

But then I get them to do it and they achieve it. I love that moment when they're in shock that they actually can do what they previously thought they couldn't.

It's an important moment... in that moment they realise that their mind is holding them back and they start to think about the possibilities.

I love that I helped them change their mindset. That I helped them believe in themselves again.

Believe it or not, but that's why some personal trainers get into the industry... because they genuinely want to help people and moments like that make it worth getting up before the sun, day in and day out ❤️

Ever heard the term "You 'are' the five people that you spend the most time with"? Well it's true. You start to mimic their characteristics, their lifestyle and their habits.

Unfortunately those traits aren't always positive. You become complacent and it makes you feel comfortable.

When you're comfortable, you don't challenge yourself and you don't grow.

Those negative influences can quite often drag you down. Those people may not like to see you succeed and drag you down without you even noticing.

Take the time to sit back and analyse what you want from life. What do you want to achieve? How will you get there? Will the people around you support you to get there?

Have a think....
