A special time of the week for STA, where everyone comes together after an amazing day of tennis.

First of all, welcome back to Director Dan! He gave a huge thank you to everyone for showing an amazing effort and attitude over the first 2 weeks of term. The challenge now is to stay consistent and keep that positivity throughout the whole year.

A special happy 16th birthday to Katya Yevchenko who celebrated her birthday on Thursday! 🎂🎉

And good luck to all our players competing in the ITF J60 in Estepona starting this weekend 💪🏻

Team Soto is competing on some of the biggest stages this week!

Good luck to @ Gaby Dabrowski and @ Luisa Stefani who play the third round of the US Open Women’s Doubles today, supported in New York by STA Director Dan Kiernan! 🇺🇸

A big well done also goes to STA’s Matthew Kiernan, who reached the Boys’ Doubles semi-finals at last week’s ITF J30 in Zlatibor, Serbia 🇷🇸 👏🏻

And finally, good luck to all our players competing closer to home at this week’s national MARCA event in Sotogrande. Let’s go, Team Soto!

What a brilliant first week of the 2026-27 year for SotoTennis Academy!

We’ve loved welcoming our full time players back to base and welcoming new players and staff to Team Soto ❤️

We rounded the week off with a fun Academy Values session and competitive 1 point Tournament, followed by our first Friday Circle of the new term ⭕️

A big well done to full time player Jason Wu for winning Player of the Week 🇨🇳🙌🏻

And a huge good luck to Gaby Dabrowski & Luisa Stefani who play their 2nd round match in the US Open Women’s doubles later today 💪🏻

FRIDAYS AT SOTO ☀️🇪🇸

Match play. Pressure. Energy.

We finished the week with competitive match play, followed by a One-Point Slam inspired by the Australian Open: fast, loud, and full of big points when it mattered.

We closed in the Soto Circle, where Head Coach Joe laid out the values and standards expected on and off the court for the year ahead.

We also had some special shout outs and said goodbye for now to some of our family heading on to their next chapter, once part of , always part of .

And to finish… our first Player of the Week was announced. 🏆
