Sof Omer Cave is a fascinating natural formation, often thought to have developed through a combination of geological processes. The most widely accepted hypothesis is that Sof Omer Cave was formed by the gradual dissolution of soluble bedrock—usually limestone—by acidic groundwater. Over thousands or even millions of years, this chemical weathering process widened cracks and crevices underground, eventually creating vast passageways and chambers. Some geologists also propose that tectonic activity, such as ground movements or earthquakes, played a role in opening up new fissures through which water could flow, accelerating the cave's development.

ኢትዮጵያ የምታከናዉነዉን የአካባቢ ጥበቃና የአየር ንብረት ለዉጥ መከላከል ስራ እንደሚደግፍ የተባበሩት መንግስታት ድርጅት የአካባቢ ጥበቃ ፕሮግራም አስታወቀ፡፡

የፕላንና ልማት ሚኒስትር ክብርት ዶ/ር ፍጹም አሰፋ የፕሮግራሙን የኢትዮጵያ ተወካይ ዶ/ር ማርጋሬት አዱክን በጽ/ቤታቸዉ ተቀብለዉ አነጋግረዋል፡፡

በዉይይቱ ክብርት ሚኒስትር ዶ/ር ፍጹም አሰፋ የአስር አመቱን የልማት እቅድ በዝርዝር ለተወካይዋ ያብራሩ ሲሆን በተለይም መንግስት ለአካባቢ ጥበቃ ስራና ለአየር ንብረት ለዉጥ መከላከል የተሰጠዉን ትኩረት ገልጸዋል፡፡

በአየር ንብረት ለዉጥ የማይበገር አረንጓዴ ኢኮኖሚን መገንባት ፣ የተፈጥሮ ሃብት ጥበቃ ስራ ፣ አረንጓዴ አሻራና ሌሎች በአየር ንብረት ለዉጥ መከላከል ረገድ የተሰሩና በስራ ላይ ያሉ ተግባራትን በተመለከተ ያብራሩት ከብርት ሚኒስትር ይህንን ሃገራዊ ተግባር የመደገፍ ፍላጎት ያላቸዉን አካላት መንግስት ያበረታታል ብለዋል፡፡

የፕላንና ልማት ሚኒስትር ዲኤታ ክቡር ዶ/ር ነመራ ገበዬሁ በበኩላቸዉ የአካባቢ ጥበቃና የአየር ንብረት ለዉጥ መከላከል ስራ መንግስት በከፍተኛ ትኩርት የሚተገብረዉና የሚከታተለዉ መሆኑን በመግለጽ የተባበሩት መንግስታት የአካባቢ ጥበቃ ፕሮግራም በጋራ ለመስራትና ድጋፍ ለማድረግ በመዘጋጄቱ ምስጋናቸዉን አቅርበዋል፡፡

የአካባቢ ጥበቃ ፕሮግራሙ የኢትዮጵያ ተወካይዋ ዶ/ር ማርጋሬት ኦዱክ ኢትዮጵያ በአየር ንብረት ለዉጥ መከላከልና መቋቋም ረገድ እየሰራች ያለቺዉን ስራ የተባበሩት መንግስታት ድርጅት እዉቅና የሚሰጠዉና የሚደግፈዉ መሆኑን ተናግረዋል፡፡

እስካሁንም ቢሆን ፕሮግራሙ ከኢትዮጵያ መንግስት ጋር በጋራ ሲሰራ ቆይቷል ያሉት ተወካይዋ በቀጣይም ይህንን አጠናክሮ መቀጠል ይፈልጋል ብለዋል፡፡

በምድራችን ሰፊ ስፍራን በመያዝ ተወዳዳሪ የለውም የተባለለት የዕፅዋት ተክል አውስትራሊያ ውስጥ ተገኘ።

ይህ የውቅያኖስ ውስጥ ሣር ማንሃታን ከተሰኘችው የኒው ዮርክ አካል ሦስት እጥፍ የሚያክል መሬት ይሸፍናል።

ሳይንቲስቶች የዘረ መል ቴክኖሎጂን በመጠቀም ከውሃ በታች ተንሰራፍቶ የሚገኘው የዕፅዋት ዝርያ እንደሆነ ደርሰውበታል።

ይህ ከውሃ በታች የሚበቅል ሣር ዕድሜው 4500 ዓመት ሊሆን እንደሚችል ሳይንቲስቶች ይገምታሉ።

የሣር ዝርያው 200 ስኩዌር ኪሎ ሜትር እንደሚሸፍን የዌስተርን አውስትራሊያ ዩኒቨርሲቲ አጥኚዎች ይገልጻሉ።

የአጥኚዎች ቡድኑ ይህን ዕፀዋት ያገኘው ፐርዝ ከተሰኘው የአውስትራሊያ ከተማ 800 ኪሎ ሜትር ራቅ ብሎ በሚገኘው ሻርክ ቤይ ሆነው ሳለ ነው።

በተለምዶ ሪበን ዊድ የሚባለው ሣር በአውስትራሊያ የውሃ ዳርቻ ከተማዎች በብዛት ይገኛል።

አጥኚዎቹ 18 ሺህ የዘረ መል መለያ መሣሪያዎችን ዘርግተው ከእያንዳንዱ ቅንጣት መረጃ ሰብስበዋል።
