The awaited moment is here! The marathon has begun, and I'm hitting the streets of Paris, channeling the spirit of our legendary barefoot runners, Abebe Bikila and Wami Biratu. Every step is a tribute to their legacy. Let’s make history together! 🦶🏽🏃‍♂️

Tonight, under the sparkling Eiffel Tower, history beckons Selemon Barega. The 10,000-meter track is his battleground, a stage where legends are born. At a mere 24, this Ethiopian prodigy has a chance to etch his name alongside the titans of distance running – Haile Gebrselassie and Kenenisa Bekele. Can he double down on Olympic glory? The world watches with bated breath as this young lion prepares to roar.

Honoring the fathers of Ethiopian Athletics!
Vetran athlete Wami Biratu at 107years has inspired many by the physical strength he has streching and jogging around the Kenenisa Bekele Running Track in Suluta, out skirt of Addis Ababa. Wami has wished for our athletes competing at the Paris 2024 all the best. The send-off ceremony which was organized for Sole Hero, Ermias Ayele who will be running barefoot the Le club paris 2024 / Marathon Pour Tous

Wami was training partner of Abebe Bikila and Mamo Wolde both winners of the 1960/1964 and 1968 Olympics respectively. The foundation of Ethiopian Athletics was laid at the 1960 Rome Olympic where Abebe Bikila won the race barefoot at world record of 2:15:16. Wami has a marathon with Abebe in Foukoka Japan where Abebe was the winner and Wami finished second place run the whole marathon barefoot while Abebe run with shoes. Mamo Wolde Son and grand daughter and AA Athletics Federation President Melkamu Abeje were part of the event along with children with Autism that came from Joy and Nehemia Autistic Ceneters.

Feel honored to be running behind some of the best runners in the world from Ethiopia tomorrow Senbere Teferi, Tirunesh Dibaba , Jemal Yimer in Atlanta, Georgia
