After successful completion of HCL 2024 organized by Espoo Hobby Sports RY we are moving a step further and organizing a corporate Cricket event for Tata Consultancy Services, Finland on 15-16th June, 2024.

HCL 2024 - Final Note:

The HCL 2024 tournament spanned 38 days, featuring 49 games with the participation of 10 teams and 199 players. Each team played two games per week.

Captains were involved in establishing key tournament rules and playing guidelines. Each team provided match officials, ensuring all games started on time. There were no forfeits, abandoned, or cancelled games. When teams faced delays, captains generally understood and accommodated, allowing the games to proceed without invoking any penalties listed in the rules. Captains also adjusted fixtures and schedules in coordination with other tournaments.

We introduced the concept of the impact player, which some teams used to give opportunities to different players while others used it strategically to gain an advantage. All games were played with a full squad of 11 players. Apart from the usual disappointments, no issues or complaints were raised.

We successfully provided ample games for every team while keeping costs low. Unexpectedly, we introduced additional awards with prize money, such as the Man of the Match for playoffs and Fair Play awards. The organizers committed to listening to participants' wishes and making adjustments throughout the tournament, minimizing conflicts of interest by introducing cool and calm Vipul Vyas⁩ and Ashwin Gajbhiye⁩ in the organising team. Weare filled with joy and satisfaction with how the tournament turned out.

We sincerely thank all the captains for making HCL 2024 a successful tournament.

Special thanks go to Abhishek Mittal, who worked tirelessly day and night to arrange almost everything needed. He also spent more time on the field than anyone else, umpiring numerous games and ensuring the quality of medals and trophies remained uncompromised.

Espoo Hobby Sports RY goal of providing both social and competitive cricket was achieved, with more to come in the future.

Finally, Gujarat Lions was able to cross the line with Amazing Six on off-side by Milan to clinch the trophy.
