Another weekend of racing behind and the Team hit the podium again: 1st Ville, 2nd Ellen, 3rd Ilari and 5th Lili. Kim Oskar finished 9th. Ellen and Lili were the best girls. Lili was though half way cross the country by the time the protest-hearing was finished and missed the price-giving. Celebrating the victory with Olympic sailor Tuula Tenkanen. Congratulations to the Team!

NATIONALS. The Team conquered the podium at the Finnish Nationals, Ville fetching gold, Ellen silver and Ilari bronze. Missing from the picture is Lili who was fourth. Congrats Team!

BACK HOME. The power girls Ellen and Lili ruled the podium in the first regatta back home.

The 2016 Optimist Worlds were officially closed and all the winners got their trophies. Still the most fun for the sailors was to trade their life vests, T-shirts, lycras and other stuff with foreign sailor friends.

DAY #2 OF TEAM RACING. After a nice victory over DEN Finland qualifies in the 16 best teams, only to be followed by two losses to the hard teams of ITA and SLO. Team Racing is over and out for FIN.
Now waiting for the party and prizegiving later this evening!

RACE CONTINUES. The team had a great day. The won against RUS and IRL and lost against ESP, which means that the racing continues. "We are not ready to pack up yet. Tomorrow we will start against CHI or DEN. The team was working well together.", says coach Vili. Thumbs up!

THE WINNER IS SWITZERLAND!
The Swiss bell was clanging up in the harbor lighthouse when the Optimist World Champion Max Wallenberg returned from the race track. Max was carried up the boat ramp in his Opti by the Swiss Team while the whole harbor was cheering!
