KFK Club had an amazing day at the Kimura Cup in Vantaa!

Our juniors were absolutely on fire and brought home some incredible results!

A massive shoutout to Alexandru, who was awarded Best Boy Karateka and Best Technique, and to Isak, who earned the title of Best Fighter of the Tournament — amazing performances from both!

And that’s not all…

Our team won an incredible 7 medals in kata and 8 medals in kumite!

We are beyond proud of every junior who stepped onto the tatami today. Your hard work, courage, and fighting spirit truly paid off. You gave it your all and showed what real karate spirit looks like!

Karate training isn’t just about punches and kicks — flexibility and focus are part of the journey too! Our students are always pushing themselves and supporting each other on the tatami.

Our Juniors World Champions – Team Kata were named runners-up for both Team of the Year and Athlete of the Year! 🌍🏆 Their discipline, teamwork, and relentless training continue to inspire us all.

These achievements reflect the heart of Shukokai Karate — perseverance, dedication, and the belief that hard work truly pays off.

🥋 Äänestä KFK Shukokai-Espoon poikien nuorten katajoukkuetta Vuoden espoolaiseksi joukkueeksi! 🥋

Alexandru Cimpoca, Niilo Deboo, Henri Mossford ja Milton Lindqvist voittivat kesäkuussa 2025 poikien nuorten joukkuekatan maailmanmestaruuden KSI-karatessa. Joukkue menestyi upeasti myös kotimaassa voittamalla ikäluokkansa Suomen mestaruuden, ja lisäksi pojat saavuttivat samoissa MM-kilpailuissa yhteensä neljä henkilökohtaista mitalia.

Menestyksen taustalla on määrätietoinen harjoittelu, keskinäinen luottamus ja myönteinen asenne – karaten ydinarvot, jotka näkyvät niin tatamilla kuin sen ulkopuolella. Karate on pojille enemmän kuin urheilua: se opettaa kunnioitusta, itsekuria ja vastuunkantoa, ja tekee joukkueesta hienon esikuvan espoolaiselle nuorisourheilulle.

🥋 Vote for KFK Shukokai-Espoo’s Boys’ Youth Kata Team – Espoo Team of the Year! 🥋

Alexandru Cimpoca, Niilo Deboo, Henri Mossford and Milton Lindqvist won the boys’ youth team kata world championship in KSI karate in June 2025. The team also achieved great success nationally by winning the Finnish championship in their age category, and the boys earned a total of four individual medals at the same World Championships.

Behind this success are committed training, mutual trust and a positive attitude – core values of karate that are reflected both on and off the tatami. For the boys, karate is more than a sport: it teaches respect, self-discipline and responsibility, making the team a strong role model in youth sport in Espoo.
