In February I enjoyed a full winter camping experience at Siikaneva. Like it often does in Finland, the weather went from sleet and rain to clear skies and -8C, in this order. In such conditions it is extremely important to stay dry and regulate your temperature.

I am committed to sleeping at least one night outdoors every month, and last weekend I treated myself to two nights! The location was Siikaneva, a swamp that is large enough to give you the feeling of "getting away". Thanks to @tiina.repo for the initiative! Omaa rauhaa voi löytää hyvinkin läheltä. Tämä leiripaikka sijaitsee vain 25 km päässä Helsingin rautatieasemalta, ja tarjoaa sekä yksityisen järven että hulppeat puitteet riippumattoiluun tai telttailuun.

Nuuksiosta löytyi ihan paras leiripaikka. Kyllä kelpasi pulikoida ja nauttia puiston vaihtelevista näkymistä! Nuuksio national park offered amazing moments over our two-day trek.
