To me strength training is a very lonely pursuit…. Let’s be honest: how lost does the guy in the pic look? I’ve never been a very confident person. I’ve also never had the best self esteem. One thing i know for sure is that I’m not a weak person. I’m proud of the resilience that I’ve been able to cultivate during the past few years and one of the corner stones, for me personally, has been power lifting. For me it’s a primal joy of pushing my body to the limit.(Queue Scarface soundtrack) As a wiser man once said, it’s a shame to not see the strength which your body is capable. He also mentioned something about beauty but I’m leaving that out. 😉

Ran across this picture from a few weeks ago and in all honesty, because of these fine individuals going to work everyday doesn’t feel like a chore.

Trusting the process… feeling like myself again.

The past few weeks have taxed my energy lvls a fair bit. Before training today I was not feeling a 100% like i feel i should as I attempted to lift a PR. First attempt failed miserably and i was cursing myself for being weak and bending like last springs sapling under the pressure. I took five min for myself readjusted my posture and got it moving. This is my face of contempt towards the only objective and unarbitrary judge of strength there is: iron as it treats all of us the same. thank you for coaching my mind as well as my body.

Quite perfect... seriously all of you take some time and deload. Let your mind and body relax I love what I do but every now and then all of us need a break. 📸:

Granite is razor sharp and cold... but satisfying nonetheless. Since I can’t deadlift, squat or bench I decided to concentrate on lifting myself off the ground. .
