I will facilitate Yoga Alignment Basic workshop Studio Eight Weâll explore the basics of yogaâs most beloved sequence The Sun Salutation.
Weâll go through each posture in the sequence and find the modifications that feel right for your body. My intention as a Personal Trainer/Yoga Instructor/ Massage Therapist(Koulutettu Hieroja) is to help you move with ease, support your overall wellness, and reduce the risk of injury as you continue your own practice.
In this workshop, weâll mainly focus on the physical aspect of yoga , a simple and accessible way to begin your practiceâșïž

Sometimes come back HOME.
Sometimes forget the world â those are the moments for MEDITATION.

This is the meaning when Zen masters say: âWalk in the river, but donât allow the water to touch your feet.â
Be in the world, but donât be of the world. Be in the world, but donât allow the world to be in you.

Can't help but to share this gift from Nana. After more than a year of working together, this artwork serves as a symbol of her wellness journey.
I appreciate her courage to trust me and let me be part of her path, giving me the privilage of witnessing her rediscover love and appreciation for her body and well-being.
The painting reveals a glimpse of her inner harmony something that words cannot express.
This inner harmony is possible for us if we take time to truly understand ourselves and listen to our bodies. Through that understanding, we can recognize the true value of health and aspire to a state where our bodies, minds and spirits dance together in rythm.
Life is about seeking that harmony in ourselves.
Through cooperation rather than in conflict
So that we can sit, breathe and fully embrace life as it is.

Since the opening of Elontila, I have witnessed beautiful moments in the space,
the way people move around the space, form a connections, express themselves, and explore ways to use their body to take a flight, to spiral down to the ground, to roll around and provide support for one another.
I couldnt describe my amazementđŻ... So I just appreciated seeing the organic art of movements.

The way I see it, Elontila is the space for everyone that wants to explore, experiment and experience what it's like to be in a space where you can freely express yourself through movement, which is what I prefer to call DANCE.
Here you can dance till your MINDđ€Ż drops, when that happens, sharing your being takes on a new meaning.
And
thats when the real celebration happensđ„ł

đž captured this photo at the Midnight Sun CI Festival Finland while dancing with my loving friend.
That moment, It made it clear to me why I have to take care of my health and well- being.
so that I can dance freely, explore movements and try out
new ways to use my body while having fun dacing with myself or with others through Contact Improvisation.
In context of health, I know that It may be challenging to go to exercise, eat the right food, and get enough rest to promote recovery.
one of the reasons for this could be that you have yet to
discover what you truly love doing. That thing that lights up
your heartâ€ïžâđ„.
Coz when you do, you'll seek out any possible ways to maintain your health and wellbeing
So if you have a difficulty in that area, you may consider to seek out and explore till you found that thing that you truly love doing.

Dieting and fasting have their benefits but if you've never learned to enjoy food and drinks, you might as well avoid doing it.
when we hear the phrase "ENJOY your MEAL" for some reason it comes out as indulging and stuffing.
when I say "enjoy," I mean to be present with your food, smell it, chew it slowly, taste it wholeheartedly, feel its texture.
But weâve never learned this.
Instead we learned to eat mechanically and engage in other activities such as talking, watching TV, or using the phone while eating.
Then, we haven't truly enjoyed our meal as an EXPERIENCE.
Being deprived of that enjoyment makes one crave. That's why we immediately indulge when we see food, after that we feel bad when we notice the physical consequences of that indulgence! Then, we get scared of it
To avoid that consequence we begin to DENY eating. We use DIETING and FASTING but with an essense of self-punishment.
Eventually, we become sick of it, so we indulge once more, but this time, we will go for it twice as hard.
Consider this my friends.
No need to be careful, be strict or place rules upon yourself .
Just be AWARE
While ENJOYING the experience of sharing FOOD and DRINKS with your love ones.

There are so many ways to improve our health, and so many techniques out there that are already available to be use by each one of us to be healthy.
But I believe that in order for those things
to actually work, we have to first create a
meaningful relationship with our own
bodies. I consider this as the most
important step that we have to take because that will serve AS THE BASIC FOUNDATION FOR HEALTH.
Then
When that FOUNDATION begins to grow stronger and become solid enough, you will begin to recognize the things that actually works for you and what doesnt.
And from there, you'll start to notice signs
of health like losing weight, getting
stronger, building muscle, etc.
Thats why my whole effort in personal training is to persuade my clients to get to know their bodies.
While applying the general principle of nutrition and resistance training as a way to help them learn and understand how their bodies respond from exercise, food, and recovery.
Then making all necessary adjustment along the way that will suits their own lifestyle and within their capacity.
So if you are in a situation where you are
starting to feel urgency to improve your
health, I recommend you to focus all of
your energy on creating a meaningful
relationship with your body, and keep that in mind as you use any method of training that you prefer.
However if you feel that you need a helping hand or assistance in building your foundation, my approach might be suitable for you. However lets get to know each other first.

As we all know nowadays we can access and gather as much information as we need to achieve health.
In fact we are more informed and knowledgeable
than ever before about it.
Then why many of us are still struggling to achieve it?
What I learned is that the vast majority of
us lack the courage to act and do what is
actually beneficial to our health.
But I'm not referring to the common
definition of courage:
"the ability to face challenges without fear!"
What I mean is the real essence of it, which comes from its root word COR, which means "heart."
And heart represents love.
This courage is
"the ability to face challenges
wholeheartedly with love"
Let's be honest, accepting who we are and what we are is the biggest challenge that we're all facing, and this takes a lot of courage!
and to find what health is
this is the first and most critical step we
must take!
It doesnt matter how much
knowledge you have about optimizing your body down to its molecular level;
without the courage that comes from the heart which is
self-love, everything you do will be futile.
Ive read, even Hippocrates said that being healthy is an evidence that a person had achieved a
state of harmony both within ONESELF
and with its environment.
So basically have that COURAGE then support your actions with right KNOWLEDGE that WORKS for you so that you can experience what HEALTH is for you.
YOUR OWN HEALTH not someone else's idea of how it should be.
