🌸 What if your hormones are not the problem? 🌸
We hear so much about hormones right now.
What to eat.
What not to eat.
Which supplements to take.
How to exercise.
What the latest expert or influencer says we should be doing.
I question all of it.
I’ve practiced yoga for 25 years and taking care of how I live has always been important to me. And still, perimenopause has made me look at myself again.
Because knowing a lot doesn’t mean you’re always making the right choices.
Sometimes the uncomfortable question is:
What am I doing every day that is contributing to how I feel?
How am I eating?
How am I sleeping?
How much stress have I simply accepted as normal?
Am I moving enough — or too much?
Do I ever really rest?
What am I putting into my body?
And what am I no longer willing to change?
This is where I believe the real work starts.
Hormones Are Not the Problem is my new 3-month private 1:1 guidance for women in perimenopause and menopause.
We work with yoga, meditation, lifestyle and nutrition, but most importantly, we question, explore and find what actually works "for you".
I’m not interested in giving you another set of rules to follow.
I want you to understand your body well enough to start making your own.
Applications are now open.
Yours, Nicola

Welcome Fall! 🍂
We're excited to get back into the usual rhythm of things here at the studio, and welcome you back with fresh inspiration, energy, and new classes to offer.
By popular demand, we are adding a Gentle Flow for your Tuesday mornings, and a new Power & Flow class on Saturday mornings with our lovely Maeve for you early risers to set your day, week, and weekend ready and rolling. On Tuesday, welcome to wake up your body with ease and move gently into your day, and on Saturday expect zesty energy, heat, and to blow off the cobwebs!
We're so looking forward to having Gabriel back at the studio with his Sunday Wall classes and Monday's Rise & Shine.
And of course our much awaited Baby yoga with Nicola, and a weekly Sound bath with Salla on Friday's to reset, restore, and recalibrate your energy for the weekend.
New schedule comes into affect on August 17th. If you want to keep the schedule easily on your phone, you can download the attached file, or screenshot it below.
See you at the studio!

What does “traction” actually mean in an asana practice?
One of the things that makes the Yoga Wall so unique is its ability to create traction — a gentle pulling force that creates space in the body.
Using straps and gravity, the Yoga Wall can lengthen and decompress the spine, create more space between joints, and allow tight areas to release without forcing a stretch.
Think of the difference between simply "stretching" your back and having someone gently lengthen you from both ends. That’s the feeling traction can create.
And because the wall supports part of your body weight, you can often stay in a position with less muscular effort. Instead of fighting gravity, you use it therapeutically.
This can help us explore:
✨ spinal decompression
✨ deeper, more supported stretches
✨ improved alignment and body awareness
✨ greater mobility
✨ inversions with less load on the neck and shoulders
✨ poses that may be difficult to access on the mat alone
But the ropes themselves are only a tool. "Knowing how and where to apply traction is what makes the Yoga Wall practice so powerful."
And that knowledge is still relatively rare.
