First 36.7 World Cup

The 2023 36.7 World Cup was concluded today after two days and 9 races in varying conditions. On the podium this year were Rakam skippered by Henrikki Oravainen, Siren Song skippered by Jukka Siren and Miss Behave skippered by Juho Siipo. Congratulations to all teams and a warm thank you for the organizing committee!

One Design sail racing is what it's all about 👍! Next year's event is in the planning, hoping to see you all there!

First day of the 2023 36.7 World Cup event was windy with a steady easterly between 18 and 22 knots. The fleet managed to sail 5 starts. Another exciting windy day coming up!

Three gorgeous days of one design racing have been completed in perfect weather and wind. The event drew a whole slew of experienced sailors and it was delighting to see many new teams join the One Design event.

After 12 completed windward leeward races, team Arwen took first place, followed by Siren Song and Bellatrix.

Big hand to all participants, the organizing committee (Event4U / XTRA Staerk Ocean Racing Society) and NJK Koivusaari harbor for their hospitality.
