What happens when you triple the amount of Salt? You get Merisuola III.The third generation of our beloved saltwater fly rod series has arrived.

And the timing couldn’t have been better. Just as the first rods arrived, our Pro Jasper Pääkkönen was heading to the Seychelles. So we passed the Salt to Jasper. Over the next days, Jasper will be taking over our Socials, giving you a glimpse into his adventures in the Seychelles with the new Merisuola III rods.

Shrimp Tip (ST): Floating running line & floating head with 3-meter slow intermediate tip. Float to 0,5 inches per second tip section. Best option if you wanted to fish extremely shallow areas and want to be able to use long stops.

Slow intermediate (Slomo): Floating running line + slow intermediate head. 0,5 inches per second. The slomo is a classic all-rounder for fishing from the shore.

Fast intermediate (FI): Floating running line + fast intermediate head. 1,5 inches per second. Great line for sea trout fishing from the boat or if you wanted to fish extra fast or with magic heads etc.

Fast Int. to S3 (S3): Fast intermediate running line + sliding density head from Fast intermediate to Sink3 (6,8m). 1,5 to 3 inches per second. Made for sea trout fishing from the boat, enables you to strip fast and fishes well when you retrieve from shallow to deep.
