Superball 2026 🤔

I’m speaking here both as Head of Culture, but also as an athlete and a friend.

When I came to my first Superball in 2017, I honestly felt like I didn’t belong. It was one of the hardest weeks of my life. But it taught me an important lesson. Paloma Freestyle (one of the best things through freestyle; life long friends) told me: you can either quit or fight harder. And if I felt like I didn’t belong, I also had a responsibility to do something about it. I couldn’t just wait to be welcomed. I needed to reach out, talk to people and welcome others too.

I think this applies to all of us.

We have different opinions, experiences and ways of seeing things. Clashes will happen. What matters is how we handle them. Open conversations, honesty and the willingness to understand each other are essential for any sport and community to grow.

We all have our own battles, and not all of them are related to freestyle. We don’t need to be best friends with everyone, but we should see each other and remember that everyone comes from a different life. Because freestyle is about much more than skills, competitions or recognition. It teaches persistence, communication, dealing with setbacks, working with different people and understanding yourself. These are things you take with you long after freestyle.

I started freestyle at 35. Some people thought it was a waste of time and that I should focus on something more “valuable”. I saw it as an opportunity. Everything I had done before became a tool for freestyle. You probably do it the opposite way. One day, everything you learn through freestyle will become a tool for whatever comes next.

Pushing the level and creating crazy things is important. But also: see each other, respect each other and take responsibility for the community we want to build.

I am more than happy to discuss on the points I personally or World Freestyle Football Association could do better, as I know there are many.

Most what I hoped this year was that I personally saw everyone, you as well. And I truly felt I was seen too. Thank you all for that. In the end, it’s the people around us that make it all meaningful.

Viime viikko muistutti taas, miksi rakastan tätä työtä.

Sain aika vapaat kädet tehdä sitä, mistä innostun eniten: opettaa ja esiintyä. Neljään päivään mahtui 23 tuntia opetusta ja freestyle-settejä + yksi futispeli, jonka puoliajalla päästiin esiintymään Duo Nova

M***a ennen kaikkea mieleen jäi valtavasti kohtaamisia. Jokainen hymy, onnistuminen ja yhteinen hetki junnujen (ja aikuistenkin) kanssa muistutti siitä, miten merkityksellistä tämä työ on.

Kiitos kaikille järjestäjille, työntekijöille, hyväntekeväisyysottelun pelaajille ja yhteistyökumppaneille. Turnaus oli positiivinen, lämmin ja ikimuistoinen.

I’ve always left Berlin happy. This time it was street shows, laughter, great company with Tom Kastein and his friends. At the same time, I am also leaving with sadness. It was heartbreaking to see something that began as a day of joy take such a devastating turn. My thoughts are with everyone affected ❤️‍🩹

I still want to share the happiness I experienced during this trip, because those moments were real too.

21.6.2020 was a special day. It was the day he was born. Happy Birthday Chili! ❤️🐾

The first show blending freestyle and magic is done.

I was 100% nervous and shaky before stepping on stage. But once I started, everything clicked. The show went well. I had fun, made people laugh, and left them genuinely amazed.

One of the best pieces of feedback I received: “You belong on stage.” That stuck with me.

It actually took me a full week to fully calm down afterwards, the adrenaline is real. But now I’m already looking ahead.

Next step: creating a new version of the show and recording a proper showreel. I’m excited. A lot has already evolved from that first performance to where it is now, and honestly, I still can’t quite believe I did it.

There’s still work to do, no show is perfect from the start. That’s why I’m currently offering this performance at a limited-time discounted price while I keep refining it. Small parts of the show can be found on bio highlights 👆

Ensimmäinen freestylea ja taikuutta yhdistävä show on nyt tehty.

Olin 100 % hermostunut ja tärisin ennen lavalle menoa. M***a heti kun pääsin alkuun, kaikki vaan loksahti. Show meni hyvin. Oli hauskaa, sain porukan nauramaan ja oikeesti myös hämmästymään.

Yksi parhaista palautteista mitä sain oli: “Sä kuulut lavalle.” Se jäi mieleen.

Keikan jälkeen meni lähes viikko, että sain itseni taas ihan normaaliksi. Nyt on kuitenkin jo katse tulevassa.

Seuraavaksi teen uuden version show’sta ja kuvaan kunnollisen showreelin. Olen oikeasti tosi innoissani. Tää uusi on jo muuttunut paljon siitä ekasta vedosta, ja silti en ihan meinaa uskoa, että vedin sen ekan edes läpi.

Töitä on vielä, koska mikään show ei ole täydellinen heti alussa. Siks tätä show’ta saa nyt rajoitetun ajan alennuksella, samalla kun sitä kehitetään eteenpäin. Pieniä pätkiä esityksestä löytyy kohokohdista 👆
