🏏 KUOPION ASIA CUP 2026 — THAT’S A WRAP! 🏆

What a final! The trophy was decided on the very last ball. Chasing 6 runs to win, Kuopion Tigers came agonisingly close but couldn’t get over the line this time.

Last year’s champions, we now hand over the crown to Varkaus Vipers. Congratulations, Vipers — well played and well deserved! 👏🏆

A huge thank you to all the participating teams — Kuopio Lions, Pakistan Shaheens, Joensuu, Varkaus Vipers & Nepal Gurkhas. Your passion and participation made this tournament truly special. ❤️

🤝 Special thanks to Pakistan Shaheens for helping us secure the field for the tournament.

🙏 Big thanks to our sponsor, Easy Mart Kuopio, for standing beside us. Without your support, this tournament would not have been possible.

And finally, thank you to all our players, volunteers and everyone behind the scenes for the tremendous effort and support.

Not Our Day!!

Our journey at the Helsinki Tigers Cricket Fest 2026 came to an end in the quarter-finals after an outstanding group-stage campaign, finishing as Group Champions.

Despite a fighting half-century from our captain, the result didn't go our way. Poor umpiring cost us the game. We felt several crucial umpiring decisions at key moments went against us and changed the course of the match. It was frustrating to see important calls consistently favor the opposition, making it difficult to compete on equal terms. While we strongly disagree with those decisions, we respect the game and accept the result.

We are incredibly proud of every single player for the passion, discipline, and character they showed throughout the tournament.

A special thanks to our beloved Prosanta Singha (PK) Dada, who travelled with Noman, Hasan & Javed from Kuopio in the middle of the night just to support us. Your dedication means the world to us.

We leave the tournament with our heads held high. The fight continues, and now our full focus shifts to the FinnBangla Cricket Tournament 2026.

We'll be back stronger. 💙🏏

🔥 UNBEATEN. DOMINANT. RELENTLESS. 🐯

What a statement from Kuopion Tigers at the Helsinki Tigers Cricket Fest 2026! 💙🏏

We remained unbeaten throughout the group stage, winning all our matches in commanding fashion. Even more impressively, we chased every target without losing a single wicket, defeating every opponent by 10 wickets. A true display of discipline, power, and teamwork.

🏅 Man of the Match vs Myyrmäki Kings 11:
🔥 Jannaten Nayem – a fiery spell with the ball that set up a comfortable victory.

🏅 Man of the Match vs Sipoo Eleven:
💥 Taiful Islam Chowdhury – an explosive unbeaten 69* off just 27 balls.

🏅 Man of the Match vs Lahti Lions:
💥 Abdullah Al Mamun – a breathtaking unbeaten 80* off only 23 deliveries.

Our opening pair of Taiful Islam Chowdhury and Abdullah Al Mamun was simply unstoppable, putting together two unbeaten century partnerships and making every chase look effortless.

This wasn't about one or two players—it was a complete team performance. Every player contributed, backed each other, and played with pride for the Tigers badge.

The journey continues. Bigger challenges await, and we're ready for them. 🐯💙
