Our bowlers laid the foundation with disciplined spells, while the batting unit kept their composure during a tricky chase. 𝐌𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐫 𝐔𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡 anchored the innings with a valuable 𝟐𝟑 𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐬, and 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐚𝐛 𝐀𝐥𝐢'𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝟐𝟏 helped guide the team home.

Finnish National T20 League Division II – Match 2 vs. Tampere Eagles CC - May 24, 2026

Our second league match saw us take on Tampere Eagles CC in Lahti. Chasing 146 for victory, Saimaa Seals fought hard but were eventually bowled out for 81, falling short by 64 runs.

Despite the result, there were encouraging performances.
𝐍𝐢𝐚𝐳 𝐀𝐥𝐢 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐧 led the scoring with a determined 30 runs and also contributed with the ball, while 𝐌𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐫 𝐔𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡 struck early to keep us in the contest.

Every game is an opportunity to learn, improve, and come back stronger. The season is long, and our focus remains firmly on the challenges ahead.

Match #1 – A Tough Start to the Season 2026

🏏 Finnish National T20 League Div 2 – Saimaa Seals vs. Turku Tigers 2nd

Saimaa Seals began their National T20 League Division II 2026 campaign on Saturday, 16th May, at Turku Cricket Ground in a low-scoring battle dominated by the bowlers. After winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Seals were bowled out for 82 runs in 16.3 overs.

Despite the low total, our bowlers fought back with incredible determination and made the chase challenging for Turku Tigers 2nd. 💪🔥

⭐ Top Performers for Saimaa Seals:
• Niaz Ali Khan – 31 runs & 2 wickets
• Mehar Ullah – Outstanding spell of 4 wickets for 21 runs

Turku Tigers 2nd eventually chased the target in 10.4 overs, winning the match by 4 wickets. While the result was not in our favour, the team showed resilience, passion, and fighting spirit throughout the game.
