Kicking off September with a great Wednesday run. We said welcome to new runners! Awesome post-beers at panimotuju mikkellerrunningclub

Today was special! Our great runner Henri celebrated his birthday, and did this in true MRC style! Halfway through the run we stopped for cake. And what a cake, Jello-Beer cake! We ran back to Panimoyhtiö Tuju & Taproom to continue the celebration and for the great beers!

Great Wednesday run today with a great crew! Every week we meet new runners and this Wednesday wasn’t any different! Purely awesome that our community is growing. And big thanks to panimotuju for serving great beers!

🎉 Mikkeller Running Club Lappeenranta Turns 1! 🎉

Join us on 19 September 2026 as we celebrate our 1st Anniversary! 🍻🏃

📍 Tuju Taproom, Lappeenranta

🕛 12:00 – Tuju Taproom opens. Bag drop available.

👋 12:45 – Meet-up at Tuju Taproom.

🏃 13:00 – We head out for a relaxed ~7 km social run through the beautiful streets of Lappeenranta. Keep your eyes open along the route since you might pass by places that become important later in the day!

🗺️ Team Challenge
13:45 – After our group photo at the harbour, we'll split into teams and set off on a fun navigation challenge around the city. Visit checkpoints, complete the mission, collect points, and send your best photos and videos to the judges!

🎂 Birthday Celebration
We'll return to Tuju Taproom for birthday cake, coffee, drinks, and the announcement of our Runner of the Year Awards.

🔥 Sauna Evening
We'll finish the day with a traditional Finnish sauna evening at Huhtiniemi.

The sauna fee is 10 € per person. As MRC Lappeenranta is a non-profit running community, any surplus will be used for snacks, drinks, and other shared refreshments.

Travelling to Lappeenranta? MRC members can access special accommodation rates at Hotelli Rakuuna and Hotelli Lähde. Please contact your local MRC captain or send us a DM for more info.
