To start this week off, here is a little recap of last week: We worked mostly at the summer theatre since it is not that long anymore till the premiere (there was a lot of carrying). And on Thursday we helped clean the old mill. So to summarise, a week spent mostly outside doing hands on work.

With the school ending this week our fine arts club at Keskuskoulu has also come to an end.
It has been a lot of fun to see the creative minds of the kids at work!
So here are some of my highlights.
(One of the kids even took me as inspiration for her drawing! I feel very honoured)

Today is our last time at citynuokkari. To celebrate we grilled sausages and ate cake

Last week we helped out at the spring show from . We got to decorate the stage and helped out backstage, plus we got to see the performances again.

Yesterday we had our last drug and alcohol prevention course for the 6th graders.
There we worked with some glasses that are supposed to make you aware how alcohol affects your sight and your physical well-being.

In the Fine Art club the kids had the task to illustrate a finnish proverb.
Which is also a great way for me to learn them! 😉

I am now back in Loimaa and had some time to reflect on the trip.
So here are some pictures of our last day, where we visited a national park and a kindergarten in Jurmala and afterwards spent the last evening in Riga.
I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to participate in this project. I got to know some amazing places in Latvia, learn about pedagogic work, got an insight into latvian culture and meet lovely new people!

Today we spent in Kuldiga, where we visited a (vocational) school and kindergarten for kids and teens with special needs.
We even got to experience first hand the results of the work they are doing there because they prepared lunch for us. It was amazing just as the work they are doing!
We also got to explore the city, which is really beautiful!
