Today we played our semi-final against OCC, and unfortunately, it wasn’t our day. With that, our tournament comes to an end.

But we walk away with our heads held high. 💪 We played some really good cricket this season, had some memorable games and, most importantly… we managed to remain UNDEFEATED against one specific team all season. 😂😎. That alone is enough to keep us smiling until next season! 😜🏏

Yesterday, Vaasa Cricket Club had the pleasure of hosting a small appreciation event to thank our valued sponsors ELO Market www.emarket.fi, FinnBox Post Oy, and Kaavya Cuisine for their continued support and commitment to the growth of cricket in Vaasa.

We were also honored by the presence of Councillor Lukumanu Iddrisu, whose continuous support has played an important role in improving cricket facilities in Vaasa, particularly at the Huutoniemi Cricket Ground. His dedication to developing sports opportunities within our community is greatly appreciated.

A special mention also goes to our founding member Ahsish, whose vision and contributions have been instrumental in building the strong foundation of our club.

The event concluded with the distribution of VCC caps to our newest members, officially welcoming them into the Vaasa Cricket Club family. It was wonderful to see both experienced and new members come together to celebrate the spirit of cricket, community, and teamwork.

We secured a massive victory against VKCC in the Northern Finland Cricket Tournament 2026, delivering a complete team performance and making a strong statement this season. This was a much-needed win after last year’s famous defeat, and the boys responded in the best possible way — with character, intensity, and dominant cricket.

A special shoutout to ⭐ Chanuka Rupasinghe ⭐ who absolutely lit up the field today with a brilliant performance. Your energy, commitment, and match-winning contribution were outstanding. Cheers, Champ! 👏🔥

Credit to every player who contributed to this important victory. The hunger, teamwork, and fighting spirit shown today were exactly what VCC is all about.

This is just the beginning. We stay humble, keep working hard, and focus on the next challenge.

A fantastic day of cricket in Vaasa! 🏏

Today we hosted Tampere Eagles Cricket Club for two friendly matches at Huutoniemi, and what a brilliant contest it turned out to be. We played two games — winning one and losing one — but more importantly, both matches were extremely close and highly competitive till the very end.

This is exactly what cricket is about: strong competition on the field, great spirit off it. 💪

A big thank you to Tampere Eagles Cricket Club for making the trip and for the excellent games. We truly appreciate the sportsmanship and the long-standing relationship between our clubs.

🏏 Outdoor Season Begins in Vaasa! 🌿

We are excited to officially kick off our outdoor cricket season this Sunday, 26th April!

To start things on a high note, we are delighted to welcome our long-time friends Tampere Eagles Cricket Club for two friendly matches here in Vaasa.

This is more than just cricket — it’s a decade-long relationship built on mutual respect, great competition, and shared passion for the game. We truly value this bond and are proud to host them once again.
