Today we proudly celebrate the Independence Day of Bangladesh. On this historic day in 1971, the people of Bangladesh declared their independence and began the struggle for freedom. After nine months of sacrifice, courage, and the blood of millions of martyrs, Bangladesh emerged as an independent and sovereign nation.

Oulu Knights Ry pays deep respect to the brave martyrs and freedom fighters whose sacrifices made our independence possible.

On this meaningful day, we remember our history with pride and renew our commitment to unity, resilience, and love for our homeland.

We wish all Bangladeshis in Finland and around the world a very Happy Independence Day.

We are excited to welcome you to our Iftar Evening today at:

🕓 Event Time: 16:00–19:00
⏰ Arrival Time: Please arrive no later than 17:00

🔔 Important Things to Remember:
✅ Plenty of parking space is available at the premises and nearby facilities. Please follow all parking rules.
✅ Kindly mark your presence at the gate with the help of our volunteers.
✅ Once inside the venue, please take your seat. Avoid roaming around, as it makes it difficult for volunteers to operate smoothly.
✅ If needed, please bring your prayer mats for convenient prayer.
✅ Help us keep the venue clean and organized.
✅ Let’s maintain a respectful and welcoming atmosphere for everyone.

Registration is now officially closed. We sincerely apologize for our limited space and management constraints. We are not accepting any further registrations.

Please arrive and mark your presence at the entrance. We request everyone to be present at the venue no later than 17:00. A final guest list will be checked at the gate before entry to the iftar hall.

Note that: We kindly request that all registered participants do not bring any unregistered guests, as this is necessary for proper event management.

রক্তে রাঙানো একুশ আমাদের আত্মপরিচয়ের দিন। ১৯৫২ সালের এই দিনে মাতৃভাষা বাংলার মর্যাদা রক্ষায় অকাতরে প্রাণ দিয়েছিলেন আমাদের ভাষা শহীদরা। তাঁদের সেই অমর ত্যাগের স্বীকৃতিস্বরূপ UNESCO ২১শে ফেব্রুয়ারিকে আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস হিসেবে ঘোষণা করে—যা আজ সারা বিশ্বের ভাষাগত বৈচিত্র্য ও মাতৃভাষার প্রতি শ্রদ্ধার প্রতীক।
দূর প্রবাসে, Oulu-এর মাটিতে থেকেও আমাদের হৃদয়ে বাজে বাংলা ভাষার সুর। আমরা গর্বিত—আমাদের আছে একুশ, আমাদের আছে বাংলা।

🏐🏐 Oulu Knights Volleyball Tournament 2026

After an intense and fiercely competitive battle, the Oulu Knights Volleyball Tournament 2026 finally came to an unforgettable conclusion—and it was Warriors who emerged victorious.

From the very beginning of the tournament, Warriors showed their dominance. Winning 5 out of 6 matches, they stormed their way into the final with confidence and consistency. On the other side, earned their place in the final through an impressive run rate advantage, carrying a +1 edge over Northern Smasher, proving they were no underdogs.

The Grand Final – Best of 3 Sets

🔥 Set 1:
The final kicked off with high intensity. Warriors took control early and clinched the first set 25–23. Strikes fought hard, but Warriors were simply too strong in the crucial moments. A spectacular smash by Julius Francis Gomes lit up the court—undoubtedly a turning point that shifted momentum in Warriors’ favor.

🔥 Set 2:
The second set was nothing short of a war. Warriors started well, but Strikes refused to back down. Showing grit and determination, Strikes fought back and claimed the set 25–22. At this point, no one was giving an inch. Warriors, despite dominating the tournament, seemed slightly shaken—while Strikes gained confidence and belief, fully motivated after leveling the match.

🔥 Set 3 – The Decider:
The final set delivered pure volleyball drama. Strikes came out blazing, building a massive 16–8 lead. Many thought the match was slipping away from Warriors. But remember the name—Warriors—they fight till the very end.

Step by step, they clawed their way back. 18–18. The crowd was on edge. Strikes struck back again, going 21–19 up. At this moment, no one could predict the winner.

Then came the turning moment.

With Shakil stepping up to serve, Warriors ignited a stunning comeback—scoring point after point, flipping the match completely and sealing the final set 25–21.

WHAT A FINAL👌🏻

Warriors proved that heart, dedication, and belief can overcome any odds. Every single member gave their all, showing unmatched determination until the very last point.

Massive respect to Strikes—what a fight! Not for a single moment did it feel like an easy win for Warriors. Strikes pushed them to the limit and made this final truly unforgettable.

🎉 Congratulations to Warriors on becoming the champions!
