Porvoon Butchers linjapuolustaja Dal´Mont Gourdine saavutti perjantaina Saints-Butchers ottelussa uuden Vaahteraliigan yhden kauden säkitysten ennätyksen. Videotarkastuksen jälkeen Gourdinelle kirjataan pelistä kolme säkkiä, jotka nostavat hänen kausisaldokseen 16,5. Ennätys oli perjantaihin asti Crocodilesin Charles Akannon hallussa (14,5). Porvoo Butchers defensive lineman Dal’Mont Gourdine has broken the Maple League single-season sack record with 16.5 sacks! 🏆🔥
Gourdine started the 2026 season with five tackles and 3.5 sacks in the Butchers’ very first home game against the Tampere Saints. He later recorded four sacks against the East City Giants in a single game, while the remaining sacks were spread across the other games of the season.
In the final away game of the regular season against the Tampere Saints, Gourdine recorded three sacks, bringing his total to 16.5 and making him the new Maple League single-season sack record holder. 🥇🔥

Pohjola Vakuutus palkitsi ottelun vakuuttavimpana pelaajana pikakomennuksella kentälle komennetun Butchers-pelinrakentaja Teemu Hautakankaan, joka heitti palloa 151 jaardia ja yhden TD:n.
