Photography trip : When composing, maximise the number or diagonales (or layers, here 3), It draws viewer’s eyes into the picture, from one to the other, gives perspectives, emphasis the distances and add depth. And scale the picture, here the trees (layer 1) help the viewer to scale the elements.
On the 3rd picture you'll see that without the trees and the background, we loose the perspective and the depth.
