When we started this project, it was our goal, modestly, to organize the best Taekwon-Do World Championships ever.

Organizing competitions in this world situation, first because of covid and later because of the war, has not been easy, but after listening to last week's feedback from competitors, coaches, umpires and supporters, I think we reached our goal quite well, or what do you think? 😁

This would not have been possible without the support we have received from various parties, so now is the time for thanks. 🙏

Thank you to all of you competitors, coaches, umpires, supporters who have supported these World Championships by coming here to Tampere all over the world and participating in the competitions. Thank you also to all the hundreds of thousands of viewers via the live stream all over the world. These competitions were made for you, so I hope you enjoyed your time here in Tampere or via live stream at home.

Thank you to the ITF President GM Weiler and ITF Board of Directors for your support along the way. Thank you to ITF IT Committee Chairman GM Vones, Tournament Committee Chairman GM van den Heuvel and Umpire Committee Chairman GM Benzaguén for your excellent cooperation along the way. It has been a pleasure working with you.

Naturally, a big thanks belongs to the City of Tampere, which has made this competition possible. Thank you to all the partners who have taken care of accommodation, transportation, catering and other services. Thank you to the builders of wonderful competition hall, the staff of the hall and our wonderful security team. Thanks to Jussi Jokinen, our amazing graphic designer, who designed all the graphics, medals etc. for the competitions.

Huge thanks to our more than a hundred volunteers who have working throughout the competition week in various roles, both in the competition hall and in the competition office, in the training hall in Nääshalli, and so on. You really have shown what Finnish kindness and hospitality are, I am proud of all of you! 🥰

But the biggest thanks belongs to the wonderful core team that I have had the privilege of working with for the last few years for these competitions: Master Mikko Allinniemi, Lasse Kuusisto, Laura Nikkola-Kuusisto and Minna Minkkinen. You are the best team I could have imagined designing and build this World championship. I am so proud of the work we have done together, you are the best! ❤️

I hope you all enjoyed the great performances during the competitions, and you also made new friends from around the world. I also hope that these World Championships remain a good memory in your mind. Thanks again everyone! 🙏

Tappara, the reigning champions of European ice hockey, would like to welcome you to the Nokia Arena, Tampere, for two thrilling matches in the Champions Hockey League (CHL).

Here are the details of the matches:

1. Tappara vs. Adler Mannheim (Germany)
