Yesterday, the ONWF World Cup in Bełchatów didn't just bring the heat it unleashed pure atomic energy! The 4x2km relay races were an absolute explosion of speed, phenomenal teamwork, and unstoppable Nordic Walking passion. Every single step on that course generated enough power to light up the whole city!

Today we are proud to introduce two exceptional people who will play an important role in the further development of Nordic Walking education in Croatia and across the Balkans.

Juraj is one of the most highly educated Nordic Walking professionals in the region.

He started his Nordic Walking journey in 2020 and has since completed education within several international organizations. He became an INWA National Trainer and referee, a member of the INWA Competition Committee and President of the CNWA Competition Committee.

In 2022, he founded NWC Spalatum and led the club to become one of the most successful and trophy-winning Nordic Walking clubs in Southeast Europe.

As leader of the Croatian national team, he helped athletes win more than 50 medals at international competitions, while also becoming a multiple medalist himself.

But Juraj’s experience goes far beyond sport.

For two years, he worked with the “Caspera” Association of Women with Cancer, achieving remarkable results in rehabilitation through Nordic Walking. His work has covered almost every dimension of our sport – rehabilitation, competition, education and judging.

In 2025, Juraj joined ONWF, completed our education pathway and became an ONWF Judge and Master Trainer.

Alicja is an experienced Nordic Walking athlete, instructor and educator whose greatest passion is technically correct, efficient and powerful Nordic Walking.

Her competitive journey began in 2022 during the Polish Half Marathon Championships in Tarnowskie Góry. Since then, she has competed in Poland, Croatia and the Czech Republic, as well as in World Cups, national championships and major international events.

Since 2024, she has been a member of NWC Spalatum in Split, where she also actively conducts Nordic Walking training sessions.

Her education includes INWA Instructor and Trainer qualifications, referee education, ONWF Instructor certification and, in 2026, ONWF Judge and Master Trainer qualifications.

Alicja has also gained valuable experience working with people with lower-limb prostheses, visually impaired participants and people recovering after cancer treatment.

And there is one thing that defines her approach above all:

💚 TECHNIQUE MATTERS.

Among her sporting achievements, she especially values the ONWF “green cards” awarded by judges for outstanding Nordic Walking technique.

For Alicja, speed and good technique should never be separated.

Together, Juraj and Alicja bring an incredible combination of competition experience, education, rehabilitation, judging and practical coaching.
