Two weeks of World Championships. 🇵🇹🎾

5th place in the team event.
🥈 Silver in singles.
🥈 Silver in mixed doubles.

Not every competition ends the way we hoped. And honestly, I’m disappointed with my performance and that is because I know my potential, and I know I had more to give.
But there is something no loss can take away: who we are, what we’ve built, and the way we choose to keep going.

This World Championships brought me more lessons. The importance of taking care of ourselves, listening to both our body and our mind, respecting our limits, and understanding that we don’t always have to be at our best to keep growing.

Because our worth is not measured only by the days we win. It is also measured by how we respond when things don’t go our way.

Because, in the end, that’s what life does: it teaches us, challenges us, and always gives us another opportunity to come back stronger and more aware.

Grateful for these two weeks, for the people who made them special, and for everything I still have to learn🎾🔥

Playing for Lisboa Racket Centre - CR7 Club. Today we beat CT Viana 3-0 in the final to take the title.
My match went to a third set super tie-break. Won it 10-7. I'm still amazed by the power of the mind when everything else fails.
In the group stage we beat Belcamp CT , CT Marinha Grande and CT Porto, winning every match along the way to get here.
Proud of this team, of the way we battled for every point, and most of all, of the way we stood by each other every step of the way.
Because the greatest teams are not just built on great players. They are built on extraordinary women.

From winning the European Championships in Budapest to boarding a flight to Rio on my birthday, the last few weeks have been quite a ride.

What started with an invitation from a great friend, turned into an unforgettable experience at Web Summit Rio.

I met inspiring people, made meaningful connections, opened doors to exciting new projects and partnerships, and came back with my mind full of ideas and possibilities.

And yes, there was also time to enjoy the incredible energy of Rio and dive into its beautiful waters.

Some trips give you memories. Others change the way you see what’s possible.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠. 🏆🇵🇹

I had never played the European Championships before, which made this week even more special.

After winning three World Championship singles titles and one World Championship mixed doubles title, there was still one major title missing from my journey. This week, I was fortunate enough to win not one, but two European gold medals: Singles and Mixed Doubles. ✨

It was a week full of emotions, pressure, nerves, and determination. I wanted this title so badly. Not only because it was the one major championship I had never played, but also because I secretly wished it could become the perfect gift for my 40th birthday.

But this achievement is about so much more than medals.

What I will remember most is the incredible Portuguese team spirit. The support, encouragement, friendship, and shared emotions made this experience unforgettable. Being surrounded by athletes who genuinely celebrate each other’s successes is something truly special.

I leave with two gold medals, but more importantly, with a full heart.

A birthday week I will never forget
