Most ski trips are planned around a destination.

Our trip "Best skiing" are planned around conditions.

Instead of asking "Where should we ski?", we ask:

Where is the snow?
Where is the visibility?
Where are the avalanche conditions allowing us to ski great terrain?

Then we go there.

That's the philosophy behind Best Skiing.

A small group of experienced skiers, one mountain guide, one minibus and complete flexibility to adapt as the Alps change.

No fixed resort.
No fixed itinerary.
Just the best skiing available that week.

If you care more about conditions than collecting ski resort stickers, this trip was made for you.

The alarm goes off.

It’s way too early.

Your body is convinced it’s still the middle of the night.

You put on your harness half asleep, try to eat breakfast at an hour when food makes absolutely no sense, and step outside into the cold darkness.

And then slowly…

The sky starts to change.

The first light hits the mountains around you.

The world wakes up while you are already high above the valley, moving together with your rope team.

Suddenly that 2 am alarm doesn’t feel like such a bad idea anymore.

(Okay. Maybe still a little.)

Because there are some moments in the mountains you only get if you are willing to leave the comfort behind.

And alpine sunrises are definitely one of them.

Silvretta is what happens when someone designs the perfect first Haute Route.

Long enough to feel like an expedition.

Technical enough to keep it interesting.

Friendly enough that you still have energy to enjoy the descents.

Where are we skiing this winter?

Ever wondered what creates the Northern Lights?

It all begins on the Sun. Charged particles travel 150 million kilometres through space before reaching Earth's magnetic field. Near the poles, they're guided into the atmosphere, where they collide with oxygen and nitrogen - creating the dancing lights we know as the Aurora.

The most common colour is green, but under the right conditions the sky can also glow pink, purple and even red.

Just one more reason to head north. On our Northern Lights & Ski Touring trip in Riksgränsen, we spend our days exploring the mountains and our evenings hoping for nature's most spectacular light show.
