Five wonderful days in the mountains with Keith from the homeland of Fort William. We were team mates in the so despite Keith having never been to the Alps, I knew he would be good for it! We were lucky enough to get perfect weather and conditions for the Traverse of the Perrons and Eiger and an ascent of the Matterhorn.

Six inspiring days on the Alpine Assessment-the final step to becoming full IFMGA Mountain Guides for the talented crew of
Wild alpinism in the Écrin and Monterosa provided a comprehensive test of guiding skill and a suitable finale to three years of hard work.

It’s not often you’ll find yourself on the summit of Mont Blanc with a setting sun. With very high winds forecast for our summit day, Toby and I went for a big push all the way from the train(with a bit of lunch at the Gouter Hut). Still quite windy, a bit tiring but certainly rewarding.
