One of the great things about Chamonix is the crossover you get between all sorts of mountain sports. So, today, I was at the x Basecamp event to represent before leading out a group ride, then back in time for to take over, all the time chat wandering between skiing, running, climbing, flying and biking. Leaping into Spring? Jumping for joy? Plenty cliches to be had in a sunny backdrop jump photo, but honestly it feels like things are changing here in Chamonix on loads of levels. The snow has stopped, the sun has come out, vaccination rates are rising and infection rates plummeting. Old trails are not always new bike standard compliant...
Still a little snow up above 2000m but a grand wee ride over in Valais to see if a line on the map was as good on the ground.
