Spindrift racing

Based in the south of Brittany, the racing stable Sails fo Change (ex Spindrift Racing) was founded by Dona Bertarelli and Yann Guichard in 2011.

Professional sailing team, formerly known as Spindrift, founded by Dona Bertarelli and Yann Guichard now competing as Sails of Change with two TF35 foiling catamarans and a Maxi-trimaran. Specialised in multihull boats, Sails of Change runs three boats: the 37 metres maxi-trimaran Sails of Change, and two new generation TF35 foiling catamarans.

That’s a wrap in Versoix! ⛵️

A challenging weekend for both Sails of Change crews, with three days of light and highly unstable conditions, both in strength and direction, making every opportunity on the racecourse count.

Just one shortened race today, with Sails of Change 8 finishing 2nd to end the Grand Prix on a positive note and secure 4th place overall. Sails of Change 10 finishes 7th.

Most importantly, Sails of Change 8 remains at the top of the TF35 season standings, with just one point separating them from 2nd place !

Everything will come down to the final Grand Prix in October. Game on! 👀

Clap de fin à Versoix ! ⛵️

Un week-end compliqué pour les deux équipages Sails of Change, avec trois jours marqués par un vent faible et très instable, en force comme en direction, où chaque opportunité sur le plan d’eau comptait.

Une seule manche raccourcie aujourd’hui, conclue par une belle 2e place de Sails of Change 8, qui termine ainsi le Grand Prix sur une bonne note et prend la 4e place au général. Sails of Change 10 termine 7e.

Mais surtout, Sails of Change 8 conserve la tête du championnat TF35, avec désormais un seul petit point d’avance sur le 2e.

Tout se jouera lors du dernier Grand Prix en octobre. Rendez-vous pour le dénouement ! 👀

Day 2 done in Versoix! ☀️⛵️

Four more races today under the sunshine, sharing Lake Geneva with the North Sails Double fleet.

Another challenging day for both Sails of Change crews in a very competitive TF35 fleet, but with a few more opportunities seized on the racecourse, including two 2nd places for Sails of Change 8!

One more day to go!

Quatre nouvelles manches disputées aujourd’hui sous un grand soleil, avec les participants de la North Sails Double comme compagnons de route sur le Léman.

Une journée encore compliquée pour les deux équipages Sails of Change face à une flotte TF35 très relevée, mais avec davantage d’opportunités saisies sur le plan d’eau, notamment deux 2e places pour Sails of Change 8.

A challenging first day in Versoix ⛵️

Four races on the board today, in shifty conditions that created some big gaps across the fleet.

Not the start either Sails of Change crew was hoping for, but plenty more racing to come. Back at it tomorrow!

That’s a wrap on the TF35 Grand Prix du Mailly! 🇨🇭

Four days of racing and 13 races completed on Lake Geneva, ending with a win for Sails of Change 8 in today’s long-distance race ! 👏

Yann Guichard and his crew finish 2nd overall, while Duncan Späth and Sails of Change 10 take 6th place.

With two Grand Prix events still to come, there’s plenty left to play for: Sails of Change 8 remains at the top of the overall TF35 standings, with Sails of Change 10 in 4th ⛵️

Quatre jours de compétition et 13 manches disputées sur le Léman, avec pour conclure une victoire de Sails of Change 8 sur la course longue distance du jour ! 👏

Five more races were completed today at the Grand Prix du Mailly, in 10 to 14 knots of breeze and some shifty conditions throughout the afternoon.

Some strong moments for Duncan Späth’s crew, Sails of Change 10, who found their rhythm to claim two wins out of five races! 👏

Tomorrow, it’s time for the final day of the Grand Prix, with a long-distance race across Lake Geneva to wrap up the event! ⛵️

A full afternoon of racing on Lake Geneva! 🌊

Thunderstorms kept the fleet ashore this morning, before conditions finally allowed racing to get underway!

A great afternoon for Sails of Change 8, with two race wins and two 3rd places across four races! A more challenging day for Sails of Change 10, with plenty still to play for!

Les orages ont contraint la flotte à patienter à terre ce matin, avant que les conditions ne permettent finalement de lancer les régates!

Superbe après-midi pour Sails of Change 8, avec deux victoires et deux 3e places en quatre manches ! Journée plus compliquée pour Sails of Change 10, mais rien n’est encore joué !

End of Day 1 at the Mailly Grand Prix!

A long wait ashore this morning and into the afternoon, with very little wind on Lake Geneva. The breeze finally filled in late in the day, allowing the fleet to launch the first race around 5pm.

With 8 to 10 knots and some beautiful late-afternoon colours on the lake, 3 races were completed for both Sails of Change crews!

🔵 Sails of Change 8: 3rd
🟢 Sails of Change 10: 6th

Back on the water tomorrow for another day of racing! ⛵️

Fin de la première journée au Grand Prix du Mailly !

Longue attente à terre ce matin et en début d’après-midi, faute de vent sur le Léman. Il aura finalement fallu patienter jusqu’à 17h pour voir la flotte s’élancer sur la première manche !

Avec 8 à 10 nœuds et de magnifiques couleurs de fin de journée sur le lac, 3 manches ont finalement pu être disputées pour les deux équipages Sails of Change 🔵🟢
