BREAKING: FORMULA 1 RETURNS TO AFRICA WITH RWANDA GRAND PRIX DEAL

Formula 1 has confirmed a landmark 10-year agreement with Rwanda to host the Formula 1 African Grand Prix, presented by Visit Rwanda, from the early 2030s. The race will take place at a purpose-built circuit in Bugesera, approximately 40 kilometres south of Kigali, subject to completion of the facility. The announcement marks F1’s return to Africa for the first time since the 1993 South African Grand Prix at Kyalami. Beyond racing, the project aims to boost tourism, attract investment, create jobs and develop local motorsport talent. The inaugural race date remains unconfirmed.
