A dedication to their city.

80 years on from the formation of Lower Saxony, the quintessentially German city of Hanover - or ofcourse, Hannover - has been at its heart. The capital, it’s a place of understated elegance that’s as much about its heritage as it is its progression and modernity.

Hannover 96 fly the flag and celebrate this anniversary year as only they could! A half and half creation that draws from the flag itself and puts the city coat of arms front and centre, both literally and figuratively where it also forms that slightly subtler all-over pattern.

It looks exactly as you would imagine and if you’re proud of where you’re from and who you represent, then you go full send and make sure others know it!

It carries that throwback-esque vibes too with the shoulder pipping, the sponsor and the slight sheen all lending a hand and they done a superb job of it.

A connection beyond friendship.

It may be something you wouldn’t have expected but to Twente, it’s something so much more. This unmissable tartan tribute is an ode to their connection to Scotland - where else could it be, eh? - but it isn’t the first time we’ve seen this! It began in the mid-90’s when an accidental “Scottish triangle” would form. The kit came first and soon after, two Scottish players Scott Booth and Rob McKinnon joined the ranks, purely coincidentally!

The connection strengthens however, having forged a relationship with fans based in Stranraer, the club have held on to their love and admiration. The ‘Stranraer Tukker Clan’ goes on and Twente even travelled to play a game against Stranraer seasons ago and now we’re reintroduced to have another fling!

The new fourth kit is a brilliantly dark and almost moody check and we’re glad they’ve brought it back, reinforcing it with a shoot to match the occasion, almost rich in heritage. The badge fits too, looking akin to a clan crest with its heraldry in the centre and the outer ring like the belt and buckle often seen wrapped around said crest!

A connection that’s more than just football and we’ll raise a wee wh**ky to that!

The boys no longer.

Well, they are but the BSC women’s side get to step out from the shadow of the men’s kits and get something of their own, of which looks absolutely wonderful!

We’re very much enjoying the women’s game revolution and the flourishing of unique kits and looks that we get and they deserve. Not only looking great in fabric, the shoot adds a further air of class and prestige that lends a hand to a very fitting occasion.

A superbly rich purple with accompanying gilding gold is a brilliant way to introduce a new era for the women’s team and it’s not just a case of having a different look as this creation specifically had the players input, making it something rather special!

What’s not to like here? A subtle pattern fills that purple but then the golden details have a particular shine to them, especially on the Nike and club badges that let them pop off a little. The collar too is a great contrast, where its solid form looks crisp and bold!

A movement we hope continues and grows stronger and the BSC Young Boys launch is a brilliant addition to it all.

A wonderful occasion in more ways than one!

Stepping out from the regular Marseille outfit and into their own light, Les Marseillaises - the women of Olympique de Marseille - have created quite the occasion.

For the first time, the ladies have their own creation and it’s a jersey not just for the club but for all women as they combine it with Breast Cancer Awareness Month to gift us ‘October Rose’ and it’s quite possibly our favourite of the pink kits we’ve seen yet!

Light pink, white and gold. A superb combination that looks equally classy, elegant and battle ready for matchday. When you’re putting together something like this and you know the occasion is going to bring attention, then you do it right and they absolutely have. For the first time too, we get to see the Les Marseillaises crest in all its golden glory and it creates quite the visual.

With a wonderful cause it it’s core, it’s a launch worthy of such celebration and it’s always great to see women’s football expand, especially when clubs are forging their own identities more and more!

A club proud of their identity.

There’s nothing better than a collection of kits that stay true to you. A new trio for Portugal’s Leça FC sees them carry the green - and largely white - across each that carries its own purpose and together, they are awfully satisfying to see. Insanely proud of who they are and where they represent, this is all for that.

A twist on their regular home kit has the solid horizontal bars taking on a different form. Daintier bars lighten everything up and it’s always a nice little visual that keeps the same effect. Lighter and breezier like the coastal winds and waves that lap upon the Leça da Palmeira shore.

The away goes dark. It’s kept very, very clean and utilises that green for the trim and few details that appear, with the badge going monochrome to maintain that shadowy aesthetic!

The third, however, has to be a favourite! Half and half design but full of character and almost alike a medieval surcoat that may have protected the Castle of Matosinhos once upon a time! The Portuguese coat of arms only enhances that whist licks of yellow from the badge look and the sponsor getting in on the halves action gives us a little fun on top!

A Special shout out too for the Palm tree print goalkeeper top which of-course, has to stand out a little bit! Decorated with the palms you would see decorating many gardens and squares of the area.

There’s nothing wild or extravagant to draw you in here, it’s purely Leça, their colours and their home that’s done it all.

A symbol you perhaps might not quite expect.

The rivers and waterways that surround the city of Mantua present something you might not associate with northern Italy but flourishing along the Mincio River and into Lago Superiore, you’ll find lotus flowers for as far as the eye can see.

Introduced to the extensive network of rivers and lush banks in 1914 by missionaries returning from China, what started as an experiment has grown into a wonderful, visual symbol of the city and its surroundings.

Mantova 1911 who call it home, embrace that natural beauty and their prolific waters, turning out a new third kit!

Whilst the sponsor might catch you right away, it’s the wavy wonder beneath that you should look for. We always enjoy a kit with a story and this is no exception, especially seeing the top on the very river it’s paying homage to.

The deep navy and blues mean that the red and white contrasting details pulling from the home colours add something else to the creation, bringing the club and its surroundings together neatly! The fact that the ripple effect appears to encroach on the sponsors too, helps them look the part and honestly don’t think they do the design harm at all!

Rivers and lakes lush with ‘fior de loto’ and well worth celebrating.

A burst of spirit!

The vertical stripes of LR Vicenza take on a radial form radiates from the bottom up, matching the energy and enthusiasm of their infamously passionate Curva Sud supporters.

Something the little bit different it always going to catch our eye and even the slightest of shifts can make a difference. It’s a different take of the home and the club pay homage to the fanbase with its inspiration, bringing it to kit form.

You know where we’re going next though don’t you? The badge! Look at the embossing on that ‘R’ and how it stands out in more ways than one!

What’s not to like?A little bit of energy goes a long way and we’re here for it.

How did we miss the big ol’ badge on launch?

A superb, oversized rendition of AS Nancy Lorraine’s chardon - or thistle - stands proud and sure for their third and fourth kits backed by an homage to the Ducal Palace.

We love an alternate badge, we say it all the time but we do and this is no exception! The textured thistle goes it alone for the first time in while and itself is a tribute to the wildly oversized emblem that used to adorn the Lorraine red back in the late 60’s.

The chardon sits atop a subtle pattern that replicates the vaulted ceilings of the Palace on both the deep blue of the third and the pink of the fourth. A classic flip of the colouring with the collar of the blue being a defining difference but both options suit the style. Infact, is the polo collar pink alike the stem of a thistle? A really neat touch if so!

Another badge variant bringing a little prick of excitement.

A special, special night 50 years on! One club honouring another.

A maiden voyage into European competition is always one to remember and when it’s your only one - so far! - then the sentiment just grows and grows.

Cesena made the journey to Magdeburg for their first ever tie in the UEFA Cup and it’s one that still lives with them to this day! Despite the result not going their way that day and a valiant effort in the return fell just short, the club still look back with massive pride!

So much so, that their new third kit pays homage to the very club that hosted them and a launch that celebrates it, there once again. The rich, bright blue of FC Magdeburg dominates and why wouldn’t it? The double stripes off-centre are made much better too thanks to Amadori offsetting themselves too as to not impede, allowing us to get a slight vintage feel but is sleek all round.

Hopefully it’s something Cesena gets to experience once again, soon!

We love a throwback!

Just here for some serious badge appreciation thanks to Atalanta running it back to 1963 when they introduced the infamous ‘Le Dea’ in her full stride form.

The Greek goddess Atalanta herself is probably more famous for her profile shot in modern years but getting her back in her full form alongside the timely shield is a welcome sight!

The simple, beige kit with its little lick of light blue for contrast lends a hand to letting the badge catch your attention although ‘Lete’ are battling for the honour that’s for sure!

A clean kit with a purpose and we’re very much enjoying it.
