👏After months of commitment, learning, and connection, the SportyMentor project is coming to an end. This initiative has empowered young people through mentoring and sports, fostering inclusion, confidence, and new opportunities. More than 100 mentors and mentees took part, creating lasting bonds and valuable experiences.

[🇪🇺🤸SPORTYMENTOR PROJECT] – 🎉Final Event in Portugal

On February 26th 📅, Aproximar organized the final Dissemination Event at BºLab-E9G facilities, in Cascais, to disseminate the SportyMentor programme and results and to celebrate its outcomes!

🎯The Dissemination Event was a great opportunity to provide key stakeholders with practical and relevant resources for their work with young people – designed and tested during the initiative. The SportyMentor initiative is heading towards an innovative future with the potential for even more positive impact! 🌟

👤The event brought together 17 participants, including youth workers, school mediators that work with young people from vulnerable contexts, and professionals from Cascais City Council, whom:
✅ Learnt about the partner Aproximar and the SportyMentor programme, its goals, outcomes and the engaging resources created by the Partnership
✅ Explored through an interactive digital dynamic the concept of mentoring, the key actors involved and the phases of a mentoring process
✅ Engaged in hands-on activities to learn about SportyMentor's design thinking tools that can be used in practice with young people with challenging behaviour
✅ Jointly reflected on the applicability and relevance of the resources created by the project in working with vulnerable youth.

[🇪🇺🤸‍♀️SPORTYMENTOR PROJECT] – 🎉Final Event in Romania

Asociatia Vis Juventum organised an inspiring event to disseminate the SportyMentor program in Baia Mare on Tuesday, February 25th!

👉30 participants

What we did during the multiplier event …

✅ We disseminated the results obtained from the sustained and innovative activity of the SportyMentor project partnership to experts from the local community, including by presenting the impact of the mentoring program described by mentors and mentees involved in the project.

✅ We presented the tools developed to the partners in the projects starting in March in the field of preventing child/young person separation from family. we are preparing the ground for the continuation of SportyMentor-type mentoring in the next 3 years, in the activity with over 500 children/young people, beneficiaries of the organization.

[🇪🇺🤸‍♀️SPORTYMENTOR PROJECT] – 🎉Final Event in Ireland 🇮🇪

Instruction and Formation organised the SportyMentor Multiplier Event, an insightful and engaging platform to showcase the project’s significant achievements ! 🌟

👉 28 participants

✅ Heard from mentors who shared their personal stories and experiences, demonstrating the transformative impact of sports mentoring on both personal growth and self-confidence.
✅ Explored the results of the project through engaging presentations of the SportyMentor Mobile App and the Eco-Citizenship Toolkit, both designed to integrate sustainability and enhance mentor-mentee interactions.
✅ Engaged in a dynamic Q&A session, where attendees exchanged ideas on how the tools and methodologies could be adapted to different community settings.
✅ Participated in a Padel and Tennis Round Robin Tournament, which embodied the project’s spirit of fostering community and teamwork through sports, leaving everyone energised and inspired.

Key stakeholders were impressed by the project’s success and the potential for broader implementation across various community initiatives. The event provided valuable constructive feedback for refining the project’s tools and methodologies, paving the way for future growth and sustainability.

The SportyMentor project continues to gain momentum, with exciting opportunities ahead for expansion and further impact! 🚀

[🇪🇺🤸‍♀️SPORTYMENTOR PROJECT] – 🎉Final Event in Belgium 🇧🇪

Pour La Solidarité-PLS organized an event showcasing the power of mentoring: Inspire, Grow, Connect

On Wednesday, February 12th, young participants, professionnals and mentors took part in an engaging and dynamic experience focused on the transformative impact of mentoring.

✅They explored the essence of mentoring, learning from a mentor’s journey and discovered how mentoring can be a game-changer.

✅ Through interactive discussions, they explored how others can inspire them, how they can inspire others, and how their skills & qualities can have a real impact. Participants reflected on these ideas by answering key questions and sharing their insights to foster deeper connections.

✅ To turn inspiration into action, we guided them in setting personal goals and creatively expressing their aspirations by designing vision boards.

It was an enriching event, and participants left empowered, connected, and ready to take their next steps with confidence! 🚀✨

[🇪🇺🤸‍♀️SPORTYMENTOR PROJECT] – 🎉Final Event in France 🇫🇷

Afeji Hauts-de-France organised an inspiring event to disseminate the SportyMentor program in France last Tuesday, January 28th , in a pilot establishment in Gravelines! 🌟

👉 25 participants

✅Heard from professionals and young mentees who have shared 6 months of growth and positive experiences through sports mentoring.

✅Learnt about the transformative impact of this program on young people aged 13 to 19, helping them embrace healthier and more sustainable lifestyles.

✅Discovered the innovative tools created by the project partners, including an eco-citizen toolbox and a mobile app designed to enhance mentor-mentee communication.

✅Took advantage of a free fitness assessment by the DK PULSE association!

Key stakeholders were inspired by the project’s result and ready to use them in other medico-social establishments & schools!
Afeji’s professionals were also happy to announce that they were granted with a local funding from la Fondation du Nord to further disseminate the project in the Hauts-de-France region until June 2025.

🤜🤛 SportyMentor is much more than just mentoring !

🌿 The partnership developped an eco-citizenship toolkit as a resource to help the mentors have productive and effective mentoring sessions with their young mentees. It suggests many different sporting and environmental activities that can be used ‘out of the box’ so to speak.

🎯 ... Because we're convinced that this type of meeting and group activity boosts motivation, opens up new avenues and strengthens social ties !

[🇪🇺🤸SPORTYMENTOR PROJECT] - 🇫🇷 Transnational Project Meeting (TPM)

📆 Last week , the partnership had their final TPM hosted by Afeji Hauts-de-France with all partners in Lille (France).

📝 It was a good opportunity to take a look at the progress of the SportyMentor project. We discussed about: :
✔️ the mentoring programme piloting (PR2)
✔️ the final reports of the different projets results
✔️ dissemination of the project
✔️ multiplier events

🍽 The partners also enjoyed a convivial meal during the evening in a typical French restaurant in the heart of Lille.
