Debate Society’s Drunk debates, notorious for getting you drunk and showing you a good time ;) Next Saturday the 9th we will be having our first event and better yet our first drunk event of the year. Sign up to get a spot in this amazing evening. Come to Soundproof at 7pm (doors close 7:15) with your favorite bottle of alcohol so you along with our debtors can take a shot when the rules deem you have to :P On top of having feisty and fearless debaters, we will have a motion you will WANT to hear debated. It is with great pleasure that I announce Markus Vaher as the President and Lilinaz Hakimi as the Vice President of Debate Society on campus this coming academic year.

Not only excellent debaters, Markus and Lilinaz are also the most vibrant, funny and motivated leaders that we could have hoped for to continue the legacy of this great sport on our fabulous campus. So get ready for lots of more amazing show debates, competitions and workshops this year!

🗣Debate Society is proud to present this year’s first campus-wide debate tournament🗣

This Thursday 28th starting at 3pm on Zoom, we will be holding a tournament between all students on campus, regardless of past experience or language level.
The debates will be held in English in the British Parliamentary format meaning that everyone will have a debate partner (making 1 team), and each motion will be announced 15 minutes before the debate. The tournament will have a total of 2 rounds and a final. Each finalist and the winner will receive a saucy prize👀

We are happy to announce that our first event of this year will be taking place this Saturday 10th October, 6pm at Soundproof.

We have confirmed 8 of the greatest intellectuals on campus as speakers in this show debate on the motion:
This House would ban sexual and romantic relations between 1A and 2A students.

The debate will take the format of British Parliamentary but with a twist, every time a point of information is given, everyone in the room must take a shot.
Therefore to come and watch make sure to:
1) Bring your own bottle of alcohol (preferably spirits such as gin or vodka).
