Most people think a headstand is about getting upside down.
It isn't.
The pose is simply the final expression of many smaller skills developed beforehand—shoulder strength, core stability, body awareness, balance, patience and control.
Trying to force the final posture without developing these foundations often leads to frustration, poor technique, or injury.
A good headstand doesn't feel heavy or unstable.
It feels balanced.
If you're learning headstand, don't ask:
*"How do I get my feet up?"*
Ask:
*"What skills do I need before my feet leave the floor?"*
That's where real progress begins.
💬 Which headstand myth have you heard most often? Let me know in the comments.
Save this post for when you start practising—or share it with someone who's learning.

If you've ever thought...
*"I'll start yoga once I'm more flexible."*
*"I'll join when I'm fitter."*
*"Maybe after I lose some weight."*
*"I don't think I'm good enough yet."*
You're not alone.
These are some of the most common reasons people postpone starting yoga. Ironically, they're also some of the very reasons people come to yoga in the first place.
You don't become flexible before yoga.
You become flexible through yoga.
You don't become calm before yoga.
You practice yoga because life isn't always calm.
Yoga was never meant for the perfect body.
It was meant for the human body.
The only requirement is a willingness to begin.
If you're in Montpellier and have been thinking about trying yoga but still have questions, send me a message. I'd be happy to help you find the class that's right for you.

We're often searching for the next breakthrough—a new diet, a better workout, the latest productivity hack.
Yoga offered me a different perspective.
It isn't one big thing that transforms your life.
It's a few simple habits, practised consistently.
🌱 Nourish your body.
🧘 Move with awareness.
😌 Rest deeply.
🌬️ Master your breath.
🕉️ Sit in stillness.
These are known in the Sivananda tradition as the 5 Points of Yoga. Individually they seem simple. Together, they create the foundation for a healthier, more balanced and more pleasant life.
Which of these five comes most naturally to you?
And which one do you neglect the most?
👇 I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Most of us go through life without questioning the assumptions we inherited.
We assume fatigue means the body is exhausted.
We assume stress comes from the situation.
We assume happiness will arrive when circumstances improve.
We assume health is simply the absence of illness.
Yoga did not give me answers to these questions.
It made me question them.
And often, the quality of our life is determined less by the answers we have and more by the questions we are willing to ask.
Which of these questions resonates most with you?
