FM Rupesh Jaiswal beats International Master in Round 3 of Asian Individual Chess Championship.

National Champion FM Rupesh Jaiswal🇳🇵has made a promising start at the Asian Individual Chess Championship 2026 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

After a tough first-round loss against an Uzbek IM, Rupesh bounced back strongly. In Round 2, he held Indian IM Ajay Santosh (2480) to a draw, and in Round 3, he scored an impressive victory with the black pieces against Singaporean IM Zhenyong Jayden Wong (2371).

He has scored 1.5 points from 3 rounds so far.

Round 4 will be played on June 1 at 12:45 PM (NST).

The Asian Individual Chess Championship 2026 is taking place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, from May 29 to June 6.
