We lost page access but now have it back and will rebuild the page as an inclusive hub to share news, events and updates.

Tea Gardens Soccer Club’s Walking Football program is bringing generations of the football community together, creating new friendships, new volunteers and new opportunities for players to stay connected to the game.🏃

Introduced by club stalwart Shayne Reynolds in 2025, the program has continued to grow, with players now contributing on and off the pitch through coaching, refereeing and supporting the wider club.

A reminder that football is for everyone, at every stage of life 💙

The football is over, but the memories will last long after the cruise returns to port.

The 2026 International Walking Football Cruise has been another outstanding celebration of our game, bringing together players from Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, India and Pakistan.

Congratulations to the Australian teams:
• Women’s Team – 1st
• Mixed Team – 2nd
• Men’s Team – 4th

One of the defining moments of the tournament came when three Australian players joined the Pakistan team to ensure everyone could continue playing, a wonderful example of the friendship, inclusion and sportsmanship that walking football is known for.

Congratulations to WFFA, WF4H Global and all the organisers for another successful international event. We look forward to seeing the friendships and memories from this year’s cruise continue long after the final whistle.

⚽🌞 Walking Football is booming on the Sunshine Coast!

Another fantastic turnout at Coolum Beach Walking Football, with 34 players enjoying a great night of competitive and social football. Congratulations to Paddy Weston and Alan Sinclair, this week’s Player of the Week recipients.

As Paddy relocates to the NSW Central Coast, we’re pleased he’ll be able to continue enjoying walking football and become part of another fantastic walking football community. That’s one of the great strengths of our sport, wherever life takes you, there’s a welcoming group waiting on the pitch.

The growth at Coolum is continuing, and excitement is now building for the Coolum Sunshine Coast Cup on 19 September. This year’s tournament has attracted a record number of team entries, including teams travelling from interstate, making it one of Australia’s premier walking football events.

Congratulations to everyone at Coolum Beach for creating such a welcoming and thriving walking football community.

Walking Football continues to grow across Australia, and it’s great to see Football NT hosting Seniors Month Walking Football events in both Darwin and Alice Springs.

These events are about much more than football. They provide older Territorians with an opportunity to stay active, meet new people and enjoy the many physical, mental and social benefits that Walking Football offers.

It’s encouraging to see more organisations recognising the value of Walking Football as a safe, inclusive and enjoyable way for people to remain active and connected within their communities.

Congratulations to Football NT on this initiative. We look forward to seeing Walking Football continue to grow across the Northern Territory and around the country.

If you have family or friends in Darwin or Alice Springs, please share the Football NT post with them and help spread the word.

⚽️ Great to see another fantastic walking football venue back in action!

One of Australia’s longest-running walking football communities, Walking Football Brisbane, has officially returned to Perry Park after a 3½-month closure for a brand-new synthetic playing surface.

It’s wonderful to see three teams back out on the pitch enjoying the upgraded facilities, with plenty of smiles, great football and the community spirit that walking football is all about.

Congratulations to Walking Football Brisbane, along with Brisbane Strikers FC, Maverick Café & Doughnuts and Brisbane City Council, on helping bring this much-loved venue back to life. The new post-game clubhouse venue looks like the perfect place to relax, share a meal and enjoy the friendships that make walking football so special.

It’s always inspiring to see walking football thriving in communities across Australia. Every club, session and association plays an important role in growing the game and creating opportunities for more people to enjoy football at a walking pace.

⚽️ Walking football is played at Perry Park on Thursday nights.
To find out more or join a session, contact David at [email protected].

Congratulations to everyone at Walking Football Brisbane, it’s fantastic to see Perry Park back on the walking football map! 👏⚽
