🚀 The final boss 🚀

We’re stoked to have of Phoenix, AZ on our team over the past year as we built this project.

Andrew is a programmer, longboarder, gamer, and creator of things. His primary focus with longboarding is to fuse dancing, freestyle, and a little downhill together to create fun combos and lines. When he's not skating, Andrew is either playing a new rogue-like game, attending a Hackathon, creating wonderful webpages, or cranking on a hardware project.

He organizes the group that meets weekly around the ASU campus.

“I’m stoked to be working with the dope team at Amp Skate to bring the world a resource for skating, and more importantly, building community. For a while I’ve dreamed of creating a longboard app that I would want to use, as well as all the skaters (new and experienced) that come out to the Phoenix longboard meetups. It’s really exciting to see that dream start to manifest, and with some awesome people nonetheless.”

🚀 Introducing co-founder 3 of 4 🚀

With only 1 day left before our MVP launch, we excited to announce on the team.

Ayoub is a 24 years old developer, designer, longboarder and weird coffee person from Italy. When he’s in front of his computer you can usually either find him working on refining beautiful user interfaces or on experimenting with new weird graphical styles. When he’s not working, he’s either refining his longboard dancing flow, working on a new trick of some sort, dialling in some new beans on his machine, or planning his next trip around the globe 🌍

“I like to have resources I can reference to fuel my curiosity when it comes to my passions and to track my progress as I keep improving. There was no such thing for longboarding – up until now. I can’t wait to make it into a reality and start using it myself!”

Any interest in helping build the next big longboard platform? Please fill out the form at the link in our “Join Us” story highlight 🤙

Stay tuned for our final team announcement coming later today đź’Ż

🚀 3 days until we launch 🚀

Next up we’re introducing another one of our co-founders, .

Laura is a writer, an artist, a designer, and a musician. She finds her flow on a longboard with a style that combines dancing and freestyle. Laura started longboarding during the pandemic to maintain her mental health, but she’s always been an athlete.

Laura fenced competitively at the NCAA Div 1 level, and her accolades include UPenn Team Captain, Second Team All-Ivy, NCAA Championships qualifier, and NJSIAA State Champion. Her fencing skills turned out to be advantageous for learning how to skate (she rides goofy and fenced righty). She’s passionate about uplifting women and q***r folx within the longboarding community.

In her professional career, Laura has worked as a Content Designer for companies such as Google and Credit Karma.

“I tried skateboarding at age 12 but didn’t stick with it because there were no spaces that felt safe to learn as a young girl (and no resources available for me to teach myself). Amp Skate matters so much to me because it’s the community platform I never had growing up—a space where underrepesented groups of all skill levels are uplifted and amplified, as well as a resource for leveling up my own skills.”

🚀 LAUNCHING AUGUST 1 🚀

After 1.5 years of brainstorming, designing, pivoting, and at least 100 conversations with leaders in the longboard industry, we’re finally ready to announce our MVP launch coming next week.

In preparation for our upcoming launch we want to take a moment to introduce our incredible team that’s making it all happen 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

First up we have our CEO in Los Angeles, CA. You may know him for his popular series where he made longboard tutorials for 60+ weeks in a row on TikTok on Instagram amassing over 100 million views in total. Besides competing in the international race circuit and stunt doubling for Vin Diesel in xXx 3, he's spent time teaching others through individual coaching, his online course , and as head instructor at in France.

“It’s been a long-time coming, and I know this is only the start of a long journey, but I’m so proud of our team for pushing through to make this dream a reality. I know this is a platform that 14yr old Brandon would’ve used daily and that’s what gets me most stoked - creating something will help new riders learn quicker and safer at their own pace, explore new places to skate, and connect with local riders in real life.”

If you’re interested in collaborating with us, make sure to click the link in our story highlights and fill out the form 📝
